Hatchets are for zombies, guns are for humans. Find a hatchet first. If anything your problem is that you are new to the game, and you are trying to run and gun. You have to play it more like the first level of Metal Gear Solid.

I just wanted to note that it seems this was more likely hackers than admin abuse. It's rather hard to tell the difference. I guess as hacks become more well known we will understand the differences.

Server: US61-NY2 Time: 12:25 est What happend: Screen suddenly said "Deathmatch mode", all players were teleported to the same location (just outside elektro). Then everyone was being gunned down by the same guy with military weapons. This repeated several times, people were just fleeing the server.

The map is so large, that outside of a city I rarely see other humans. When I do, they are a bandit who is stalking me for my "beans" and "meat". You spend so much time running by yourself though the woods you forget their are murderous people randomly sprinkled about. -

Helicopter Crashes and Other Stuff

I believe loot respawns every 10 minutes or so. But you have to be 100 meters away from that location before it will respawn. Heli crash sites are random for each server, I believe they are re-generated when the server is restarted. Some servers restart daily. If the server does not have such a practice, their helis should be in the last place you found one, or at least, not in a place you just checked. -
I noticed that recently the average life expectancy has gone up from about 28 minutes to now 49 minutes. That is a pretty big jump (on average). My theory is the recent infux of new players brought it down, but now they have either learned to survive, or stopped playing. Anyone have any theories? I wonder if the devs have a sweet spot for what they would like that number to be.

Zombies are more dangerous when you leave the cities. It's very difficult to shake them in the wild without a weapon. And more often than not you and your zombie train will be spotted by another player who will shoot the beans right out of your face. -
Killed by 2 guys I played with for over three hours

I met up with some people, who did not shoot me! I helped them find two of their friends in elecktro. After I helped them join up, they told me I could run with them for a bit. We encountered a bunch of tank traps and wire that was blocking out path. I piped up "I have a toolbox!" After I removed a tank trap I was murdered for my toolbox. X Files: Don't trust anyone. -
Why do guys play as girl characters?

When you spend 10-15 minutes running though the wilderness in 3P, you are effectively staring at your character. I play a a female every once in a while to mix it up. Why? Because the option is there. I would love to see more character diversity in the game, instead of the standard white dude, blue shirt, kahki colored backpack.
