My character model also changed even though I did not wear a bandit skin before patch 1.5.8.4. I have killed after the patch so I assumed you still become a bandit even now.

Date/Time: 25th May 2012, 16:00 GMT+2 What happened: I was approaching the sound of flies that usually indicates a dead body. I check the area and find nothing. Suddenly a player model appears to spawn very close to me (approx 20 meters). I shoot it (one magazine of 1911) and bleeding animations indicate I hit a player. However after about two seconds the player is replaced by a corpse (both wore bandit skins). I proceed to loot it without problems. Where you were: At the station house in northern Elektro. What you were doing: Finding loot. Additional Observations: The player never moved or shot. I was watching the Server Chat / Announcements closely and nobody disconnected or died in that timeframe. My murder count did not increase. Second Occurence: The very similar thing occured again just 10 minutes after this. I saw a player enter the general store and shoot at zombies. Like the helpful guy I am I take shots at the other player with my AKM. After half a mag on semi auto I see my character swimming in deep water for a split second. After that I'm back to where I were. I cannot see the player anymore because he is behind the counter. The zombie that was attacking him a second before is no longer there. My mag of ammo is full and all my stats are back to 0. No zombies killed, headshots or murders. When I go to investigate I find the corpse and loot it.
