Hey! This brings back memories of a discussion where some people and I were talking about having a Wendigo in a video game. Now that I think about it, it had some very similar elements to it like DayZ, with the food and water as well as hearing and sight, pretty sure! Though I think the developers are going for a more realistic approach to the infected enemies, this idea isn't without worth of thought! The idea of some stray zeds in the woods, feasting or lurking could potentially make night-time wood adventures thrilling, scary and increase the atmosphere. A bit of the unknown could be really effective in this game!

Ohhh I remember this! I watched this aaaaaages ago! Showed it to my friend before played DayZ and it made us buy it! Blast from the past! -
I love Running in the 90's! If I were to play music over mic, it'd be in a car hitting 90's with a friend! I have never seen people play it though through Direct, only ever side chat which is annoying. Too bad you didnt record your encounter, would have been funny. Nice story to share!

Hello! This could potentially be a router issue now, it sounds little similar to a problem my friend has fixed and I have helped others with. You should update your routers firmware manually, which you can download from your manufacturers website usually. If that doesn't work, allow DayZ through your routers port forwarding. And if THAT doesn't work, If you aren't using DayZ Commander, try downloading updates with that. I hope you best of luck fixing your issue. -

Confirmation needed before spawning your character

I can't be sure if he was waiting at the load menu or just AFK, but my friend and I were standing right in front of a fresh spawn, pretending to look all scary, and waiting a good while for him to load in until he responded by running backwards taken aback haha. I think there is a period in which you are in the game but loading menu is still up. I have also noticed when the server has more people in it, it takes longer, so I think that period might be extended because of that... Or better hardware for server. And to Okami, yes this would be a good idea I think. Nice thinking. It should help some problems that arrise. -

Good job recording that! Good luck banning him. I also experienced a hacker on that server (Sunday at around 3-4'ish in the afternoon) which I have a recording of if you'd like to see that. Happened near Green Mountain, some 10 year old script kiddie followed me around saying "Gangnam style" shooting me. -

I would not recommend using Six, as Clumsy said, switch to DayZ commander.

That looks like an animation set in the NPC rather than what can be done with the player. People can record movies with the ARMA Editor and they can control NPCs and such, from what I recall. -

Helicopter not spawning on freshly wiped server

Hello, I've read stories of people checking the logs and seeing the helis spawning under the water or in odd locations, if you can, look at the logs to see what's going on. I don't know how to do it myself, so that's all I can help you with! Good luck with your server. -
I've put on Camo with a hero suit and when I removed it, I had a survivor skin, but after reconnecting it came back, it's a bit buggy. You'll stay hero unless your humanity drops. When you join a server, your actual humanity levels are displayed on the debug but only for a brief second, last i've seen mine was around 45k hahaha. You just have to keep your eye out for it.

Well at the moment you can change your face skin, which you can use to identify each other. I think the full skin might be a bit too much and people could abuse it, so something simple like an armband or patch would be cool.
