This is most likely an ARMA issue. Are you updated to the latest patch and made sure all your Arma II: CO files are verified? If you have steam, verify the integrity of game cache on both ARMA II and ARMA II:OA.

Hey! From what it sounds like it's a router problem. I've managed to help around 5 people with this issue. What you'll have to do is update your router firmware manually, best of luck! -

Most likely overheating. I had this issue too! Your fan on your graphics card has most likely stopped working. You'll have to leave the side of your case off and have a deskfan blowing inside of it (or buy a new graphics card/card fan.)

Well, since I help run them, I can suggest Balota Buddies. On our whitelisted servers, AUS, or US, wherever you're from, has the option to hide the HUD. We do have sidechat although we moderate it and anyone who abuses it / does silly things with it gets kicked and banned, so there isn't much activity on it. The moderators will also watch over you and other players as you play, so you won't be in the risk of stream-sniped. You can report to us if you think that's happening.

If you see me and aim it at me, I'll be tempted to defend myself that second, but usually I contact the person through voice and decide how it's going to go from there. I rarely take the first shot, and never shoot on sight unless it's a bandit in a hotspot. I think, frankly, the game is much funner when you have to come to a conclusion using voice, position and judge them on skin - rather than just shoot on sight. KoS is annoying and usually frustrating, so I don't do it to other people.

Update your router firmware manually. I find this fixes it when there seems to be no other 'fixes'. Helped around 5 people with this same problem so far. -

The dialogue box tells you exactly what to do. Delete those files or install accepted ones. A re-install of the game will most likely fix this.

Hmm this is bizarre! There must be a setting enabled/disabled somewhere, I can't think of anything else. Go through all the options in ARMA 2 and ARMA 2:OA, as well as validating your integrity of game cache files (if you own Arma 2 on steam). Hmm, if that doesn't solve it, it may (I doubt it but maybe) have something to do with the installed languages on your computer. You might be missing something, or an update or driver perhaps. I hope you can fix this issue! Edit: Also, have you tried meeting up with your friend and testing out direct comms? It may just be that no-one is typing to you!

I met Zsc0pe IRL (and I'm still alive) about 6 months ago and he told me about Baltoota Buggies. I had heard and played on their servers before they went whitelisted. After meeting him I joined the community to catch back up with him, it was a lot of fun playing and meeting new people. Soon I became friends with the staff and ended up volunteering becoming a whitelister. Ended up being a head moderator since I loved dedicating my time to the players and servers; they're all really fantastic. I hope more people join Balota Buddies, I say without a doubt the members and experience are wonderful. -
First experiences are always memoriable. Was it a different feeling watching gameplay and then playing yourself?
