you obviously don't get the point then. spawn points currently are not meant to enhance your gameplay enjoyment, but to gather data. its also slightly irrelevant where you want to play in comparison to which parts need testing at the moment.

i should add this to my sig. so sad, so true.

as someone walking the dog in the park before going to sleep, i can confirm that even urban park nights are as pictured in the second image - if sufficient cloud cover/new moon. but i also agree it is a pain in the ass to play without a torch, trying to 'feel' your way through the forest.

my biggest worry is that too much is imported from ArmA. What works for a functional milsim, doesnt necessarily work for a atmospheric post-apocalypse survival game. With proper budget, more things are possible. I'd rather have them take time to do things properly. i love this game, and i will play it with all the many current flaws. but in my heart, i would love to see it achieve its full potential.

when vehicles are implemented people will still complain about it just like they do for 3PP

i heard it in the mod already from my heli instructor... dealwithit.jpg -
i prefer to play with the ingame map, dayzdb is just taking too much away from the experience. but to each their own. uncommon maps should be tourist maps pre-outbreak: while really rare maps should be topographic maps, more likely used during rescue efforts after the outbreak:

yeah i love those people who 'splode the whole teamspeak channel as soon as they push-to-talk, because their sound system floods everyone else with their combat sounds (and half of the time with their shitty music). insta-mute.

ArmA. 'nuff said. you should be glad you dont break you legs on doorsteps anymore.

thats because you suffer from a compulsive overeating disorder..

when you have reached the requirements (water and energy) then you should see the healing or healthy status message in the inventory screen after some time. if it doesnt appear despite full energy/water, then its an isolated bug as it works pretty much for everyone else. see this thread for indepth explanation of the mechanic: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/159251-merinos-in-depth-video-guides-updated-jan-7th-how-much-do-i-really-have-to-eat-and-drink/ edit: ninja'd by Dallas

on the other hand i recently saw a hacker drive a two-story house through cherno, so who knows, maybe a fix is imminent :D

that hill.. the bench.. the tree... oooh the memories.. the memories are back... *sits in corner, rocking back and forth*

if i wanted to play a FPS and bask in the glory of my skill, i'd play q3a/cs/warsow or CoD2 S&D.. DayZ offers a completely different experience.. if you dont see it, you lack imagination and comprehension.. if you see it and dont enjoy it, this game is probably not for you..

The thing you like the most and the thing you hate the most about the standalone ?

The thing you like the most and the thing you hate the most about the standalone ?
Element47 replied to africanhungergames's topic in General Discussion
the fact that it isnt an ArmA mission script, makes it a standalone. and thus, the most striking improvement is, that it can exist while many limits or weaknesses of it being an ArmA mission script can be removed, and additional functions added. for me, clothing/inventory system, modularity of items(most prominent in weapon attachments) and the blood/shock/thirst/hunger mechanic are among my favorites at the current stage the worst for me is the horrific abomination of controls and environment interactions that has been ported from ArmA -

thats probably the main issue. you dont understand it. maybe you should stop trying.

this may surprise you, but finding spawn points that you in particular like, is not the main purpose of the test.
