Game really hard on high-pop servers
Element47 replied to infiltrator's topic in New Player Discussion
if you died to starvation on a high-pop server, you are doing nothing wrong. actually, you are doing much better than a large portion of the player base. beans for that -
this had me maniacally laughing for five minutes. i then went into the depths of the internet and created "what if" memes for half an hour. seriously though, we have that already. people are insane all the time, just instead of hallucinating they come post on the forums.

considering the commitment required from the hosting company per GSP agreement, its a pretty good price.

Read first before you complain about other players

but people in DayZ organise themselves too. Have you failed to notice my signature? The changes Doc Wasteland and the trusted medics brought to the DayZ metagame have gained worldwide attention among gaming outlets. TMW, RRF and freelance whitelisted medics provide care and attention to anyone within shortest time. We probably have a better health care than the US. We have trading groups like the FTC organizing barter - they have a hard time at the moment, as loot diversity is low and most items are in abundant supply, but they are here We even have a bookclub sharing and swapping literature - oh how i cherish that not all of culture has been lost! I think the DayZ community does a pretty good job in organizing a barebones society amidst the mayhem -
not in this game. to appeal to all possible demographic, you usually have to compromise to the point of becoming mediocre.

the photosensitivity must be strong with this one if wiped out by the sun... vampires in SA confirmed!
-
I lol'd. In short op complains about humans being humans, and also that he had no surprise buttsecks before being shot. GG, 10/10

the poll you cited is highly flawed. it cites for example basebuilding and storage as character progression, which i think is debatable. persistance is not progression.

i have a naga molten and a logitech g602, its all the same. the problem isnt your mouse. you can slightly improve it by reducing sensitivity and smoothing in the controls menu, but it stilll feels like riding a drunk elephant..

We NEED some way to identify heros and bandits.
Element47 replied to 1S1K-Airborne's topic in General Discussion
possibly. id say, 50/50. but its all the identification we need... -
We need a Ministry of Silly Walks thread...
-
the whole control system will be looked at by the devs, but there is no date, means its in distant future and low priority..
-
except when a russian, a german and a brit walk into a bar in elektro at the same time... sounds like the start of the best joke ever....
-
its horrible. an abomination. i have vomited my spite all over threads dealing with the subject. you are not alone.
-
so to sum your post up: - lack of zombies - ease of gearing up - lack of challenging survival aspects - ladders - buggy collision detection - desync issues so no, these things dont bother me, as i know they are going to be addressed. which has been discussed in length in many threads on these forums.
-
all my encounters so far have been in close quarters situations, all my player kills have been with the magnum.. i stick to the m4 for looks alone..
-
my impression of the game is at least several months after the end of the apocalypse, possibly years - after the point where the society completely broke down. car wrecks are rusty and deteriorated, but buildings and streets are not yet completely overgrown, most buildings seem still safe from collapse. If you compare it to Pripyat, 25 years after the exodus, it doesnt look very different from elektro or cherno.. maybe ith more debris

i've been looting guba bases twice a week, so thank you for that :D :beans:

What will make me trust another player? Solo players v. Solo player
