    Venting Thread

    It hurts so good though!
  2. The lowered weapon damage coupled with the funny path finding, has made it a little more interesting when dealing with them.

    This new patch ROCKZ!

It's still his game and incomplete. You didn't pay for this game you paid for Arma2. Don't act so entitled over a mod. Give it time, take a break for a bit and play something else for a while. The progress is good for the amount of work Rocket has to do by himself.
  4. Yea, I'd avoid that topic here. It's really been beaten into the ground.
  5. I don't disagree on any particular point. I'm just submitting that even without a world where everything is destroyed, people kill people over trivial things, like shoes.
  6. I don't like how I can die from dehydration while it's raining.
  7. Well written and makes some amazing points that I haven't even considered. To touch on the, "You don't know what you'd do until it happens," is really true. We all know of the guy who is normal, lives a great life and when their world is destroyed be by financial, relationships or what have you. You always see, "I would have never thought he/she would do that." You'd be surprised what people would when everything they hold dear is gone and destroyed. Have ze beans!

How do you know if you're infected or not?

The interview said something about beta testers. I haven't seen anything about any kind of beta testing going on?

    your first murder experience

I was outside of Elektro and wanted to check out the fire house I saw in the distance. As I was running along I saw the silloette of someone in the window. "Shit, I'm so dead," I thought to myself. Without hesitation from him, rounds started coming down range at me. Luckily, he didn't have any kind of rifle. I returned fire enough to distract him from getting a comfortable shot. This continued until I closed the gap and made it to the fire house. I immediately ran in so he couldn't get into a good position, I was too late. He leaned around the corner, we raised weapons and started exchanging fire. All I could see was the smoke of carbon down my sights. I fell to the ground from my wounds and he fell to his death. That was my first murder and is also the most fun I've had PvPing so far. I prefer the action over the sitting and waiting. Edit: Spelling

Why is there so many pussy's on DayZ

Not a lot of FPS games are open world with other people. This game is really unique in this manner. By giving people the ability to choose their own actions, not just 3 different choices for story, it gives the player the ability to play how he or she would play. I think this is most in common in people who just start playing with the pretenses this is solely a zombie survivor. But, I don't think it's misplaced and I completely understand how people can start to feel like it's an extension of their personality. They are playing how they want to and have to make their own decisions that have a direct impact on their ability to survive or die. This fades with time, for most players, and is predominately something new players feel.
  12. Holy crap, I can't imagine ever agreeing to that high of a commission.

I'm at a loss for words. Don't you understand, your inability to understand a normal human emotion, means you need more life experience? Why don't you take a step back and instead of approaching this with the, I don't understand it must be wrong you're a pussy, mentality. Try to understand that, while everyone feels emotions different, regardless of the context, it's normal. I'm 99% certain that mentality of yours, carries over to more than just a game.
  14. Yea, all I can find about their commission is something between 7-15%. It varies between the type of good and seller though.
  15. Yay for no expenses! Excuse me, commissions! :P

That's a gross over exaggeration. While I'm sure there are people that get upset or feel bad about killing others, I guess some of it is because we know nobody likes getting killed, losing your gear and starting over. It sucks. The more you play the game the easier it gets though. I think the emotion would be more aptly described as empathy. You're anger and inability to understand that it's a natural emotion, regardless of the context, is scary.

Emotions are unique to every person. Calling people pussies, because you don't feel the same way about an issue, makes me think you need to re-think your life.
  18. Yea, I remember reading some stuff a while ago about how some developer's didn't really think that a realistic type survival had any kind of market. I'd be kicking myself in the ass for not doing better research on market and investing into it, if I were them.
  19. I used to get that when I changed arma2's priority up to high. Not sure if you do that or not, but that's what I found my problem was. I haven't had a chance to try 1.7.2.4 yet though.
  20. It's actually just best to ignore hateful comments that try to incite drama. Leave that for the queens. Yea, the profit margin seems terribly low, even without seeing the amount of sales. If it did give them more sales though, despite the profit margin, it's still more than they would have had. Given the the amount of publicity Dayz has brought though, it's hard to believe. I wish it was higher for them.
  21. They have to be getting more than that on steam
  22. Awesome! So far I've seen they've really let him work and mold the game to his vision, which isn't something you'd see normally. I'm really glad for that! Are they going to push into studio development for stand alone or is Arma 3 still the center stage?
  23. I'm EST and play mostly in the evenings. Pretty experienced. Looking for people to group up with! Thanks
