This is happened three times to me (minus the wipe). When I come back after a day and select change server, my character turns into a fresh spawn. The main menu still showed my character as he was when I first logged off. Does changing servers cause this or is it a bug..er?

Can you not assign higher than 2047 across the board? mmmsoad's specs can support much more.

I think it's awesome that this great company got a huge boost in sales. They really deserve it. I was wondering if anyone had any numbers on the sales? I know some people buy off the site itself not just steam. Another question, I heard once that Rocket was hired by them? I hope this is true as well!

Offering my services as additional Security to Medics. Medics often go in alone to random sites with decent gear and have no idea what to expect. I will clear the site, confirm the target and give adequate cover during your rescue.

I did stop playing, but not because I dislike the game or because I'm not pleased with the development. I am quite happy with the game, but sadly the artifacts have really force me to wait. Everywhere I look in cherno artifacts fill my screen. I have to look straight down to see anything. Yes, I've tried everything, don't ask me if I haven't. So anyways, I have to wait for the new patch plain and simple. :(

Hey there! We have about the same processors, but big difference in video cards. I have: Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.8 ghz Geforce GTX 550 Ti 4 Gigs of Ram I run 1600-900 with about 30-45 fps. I used to get about 15-20 fps because I was putting my settings way down low. I discovered that Arma 2 will shift the load to the CPU, which was where my bottle neck was to begin with. All my attempts to fix it was just actually making it worse. I have to run all my settings on high to get good FPS. I know weird right? I still have Antialiasing and Anisotropic settings disabled. With the new FX and the other new setting, I forget the name, enabled, the quality loss isn't even noticeable to me. So if updating your motherboard and everything is out of the question, then you will need to update your GPU. I really wouldn't even bother until you at least update the GPU. You will just get pissed off at the slow downs and be at a mild disadvantage against players who don't have that problem.

I have no need to, I get 30-45 fps constant now. Sorry that didn't help at all. This game seems to run different for everyone.

That processor is why you are suffering. I too have a low processor and this helped me. I couldn't understand how I'd only get 10-15 FPS a second when I'd push everything to low. My card is a GTX 550 Ti. Certainly, it should run it well. Well, what I learned is that when you push your settings on low it actually shifts to the CPU. So I was actually making the problem worse by doing this. I have to run the game with high settings to get good FPS. Also, after you launch arma2 you can try changing arma2 priorty to high. This helped a lot with the fps drop when zooming on cities. Hope that helps some!

A good way to give yourself away and get killed. It would be funny though, "Where did he go!" Oh yea, probably in that building that's lit up like a christmas tree!

I like how it would add some story line for the multiplayer to pick up on, but a single player sandbox as a whole..eh. I don't really enjoy minecraft single player so I doubt I'd enjoy Dayz single player.

Why would you have to buy another copy on another steam account?

I have to turn mine up, my monitor always has some sort of brightness issue even with it's settings maxed. I even have to use the nvidida settings to increase brightness naturally outside of programs.

I disagree completely with the duping, anything that gives you an unfair advantage over another player is an exploitation, regardless if it's as easy as hitting esc.

Survivor HQ has a lot of posts of people looking for more or looking to group. You might have better luck there if you don't get any invites here.

Words out of my mouth. I have heard from some people that there is like a 5 minute KO if you disconnect or reconnect too much. Not too sure if that's true, I don't do it. The best deterrent I've seen to help stop script kitties is by making them pay for it. 30$ for a new cd key hurts after a while for only a couple days of "having fun?" But, yes, there are the real hackers who create or see a challenge in designing cheats or ways to exploit the system solely for themselves. I think as time goes on and Battle eye adapts to these new methods and improves detection of commands on a server, it will hopefully calm down.

I see countless posts about people being angry or disagreeing with the game's current state, but you're right it is an alpha. Having an opinion or suggestion is fine and I'm not directing this towards you OP, just venting. There is this overwhelming sense of entitlement toward the mod, that is, what I can best describe as, a spoiled brat attitude. "Rocket should get his head out of ass and fix this or change that or sell it, this is bullshit," kind of stuff is constantly posted. Or, if a patch doesn't work or are there are bugs, "THIS IS BULLSHIT," rage is posted everywhere. It's not helping anyone or anything. It's good to vent once in a while, but to direct hate and insults for updating his mod not to your perfection or with a bug, is absolutely ridiculous. It's his mod, you bought Arma2 not Dayz. You should be happy and feel privileged to actually play, what I think is, the best zombie game made to date.

I dunno if this is just an issue I have with latency or something, but zombies are hitting me while running since the latest update. I think they can also see inside buildings now because I will get swarms coming at me into a building when I haven't had any aggro when entering. I hate the suit zombies!

Once you know the map and loot locations without looking it's pretty easy. I'd say maybe average 30 minutes and much less if I spawn near cherno.
