There are cars, yes. Not many, but a few. Youtube can also be a friend. -
Six launcher has actually had some recent instabilities. You're better off using DayZCommander, or updating it yourself. Just remember to add the -mod=@DayZ after your launch directory in the shortcut.

You can install it and continue playing. Some people whine on about some weapon instabilities, but these have not been confirmed. Ahoy, sail into uncharted seas. -

Then why are you speaking of the issue as if it was included in an intended patch? Obviously this does not affect all players. Neither me or any of my clan members have reported this issue.
