I don't know the ins and outs of the bodyguards being whitelisted, but my own interpretation is that only the medic gets whitelisted. I've got a group of overwatchers, but they aren't on the list...mainly because I'm the one who runs into Cherno while they squawk at me to stay to open streets so they can see me :D

Already told uprising, but there was a dude popping shots at my overwatch from literally 20 ft away from us while I was healing him. He dc'ed after catching a few mp5sd rounds to the back. Still up in the Stary area.

Uprising's good, Riplak doesn't like that I run with heavily armed escorts in the wings...if someones willing to meet him solo, he'll be receptive.

I am fighting every urge not to post "cool story bro". I'm not winning.

Dev's are tracking all and should have it in the 7.5 update. So far as I know, it's military structures (stary DOESN'T do it for me, but Balota ATCT and milcamp both do it) and the impact is hit or miss depending on your video card settings. I've also seen that there is no guaranteed one hit win.

Flashing simply means that 'shit is about to get real'. Does not mean that you are losing health/sec. Some period of time after it start blinking you will start to lose blood--i know this because a buddy of mine starved to death when he first started playing.

Seriously, the whitelist/medics of the wasteland ask for nothing; you'd be remiss to not even try us/them.

I've ridden the rails (fails?) of PvE long enough to know where it ends. Top-tier stuff with no reason to keep playing. I'd say i've died close to 15 times...and I'd wager that players made up 12 of those deaths. More importantly, those have been my LAST 12 deaths. Once you hit a point in this game (for me it was about 20 hrs, but i'm a slow read), zombies pose zero threat. I don't mean on that life, I mean that you know the ins and outs of how zombies operate and can successfully navigate/evade them. If zombies are no longer a problem and i have food, water and medical supplies...what the heck is to stop me from just raiding NWAF over and over until I get top-tier stuff? And once I do that? Believe me, the crisis of faith I suffered was terrible. ...and I'm not a bandit. I'm just saying I understand why most do what they do. Without Bandits, this game would be too easy. Granted, they are all over the place but that just further reinforces how careful you have to be around cities, heli crash sites, NWAF, etc.

For the end-gamers in this thread, I humbly offer up the whitelist medics as a way to remain interested without preying on your fellow man. Sure, I still occasionally spot for my bandit buddy around stary, but it's a nice feeling when you help others. Plus, you are 10x less likely to get the "thanks for the help BAM" shot in the back from people you're providing medical supplies to. They're universally happy about your decision to get them that bloodpack. EDIT: More on topic, I've sat on heli's before on numerous occasions, usually because I'm waiting on backup. You can beat dollars to doughnuts I would have opened fire on anyone near that heli for two simple reasons--1: ain't enough gear to go 'round 2:You won't make it back up here by the time my buddy(ies) show up and we clear it. As numerous people have pointed out, I'd just as soon as end you rather than miss out on top-tier spawns.

At least you know he's not hacking, as odds are he'd just spawn himself the m4sd and AS50 mags.

You will, but that's not really a slight to you. I'd be impressed if you never died to another player in this game, especially in the fragile early days.

We should really try to get a standardized format going here for requests. Something like: Location (rough estimate, further draw-in once a medic picks up the case) Wounds (making sure we have the right equipment for you) Way to contact you (if all you have are the forums, cool, but let us know that; most of use use steam or skype)

As someone who died recently, I can loudly exclaim that two days ago, that was not true. I think I remember reading that it has since been re-enabled for broken bones, but when .4 launched, there was no bone-break exception.

Usually a better bet to ask us medics, seeing as how we're committed to giving our stuff away for free. I found one last night but already gave it up; I think my buddy got one on a previous run through cherno. I mean, if you can get it by trading, knock yourself out--but you're doing yourself a disservice by not even asking.

You're out in the open on the airfield, however. At least with the military tents in cherno you're walled in and relatively protected (except from the roof of the hospital, haha).

I know what you're feeling--its that first time you find a great weapon, GPS, NVGs, camo suit, etc... Only way to play is the only way to live--no fear. And now that I sound like a complete poseur, away!
