Just make sure you don't put a map marker on your tent.

Rocket, I just wanted to reiterate that the ammo dropping on the ground problem is when you pick up non-related items, like matches and maps, then the ammo drops. This is a new bug on top of the ArmA II feature. I personally like the dropping of ammo on the ground when changing weapon types.

If the server you are playing on allows third-person (some don't) hit the "Enter" key on the number pad. General chat is disabled on most servers at the moment and should be disabled on all servers once 1.7.1 hits. To switch to Direct chat (players near to you), press the "." key until it says "Direct" then press and hold the "Caps Lock" key to activate voice.

Things we've learned from this thread: 2) rocket no longer wants our tears, he wants rainbows. I think this might explains why the average life expectancy keeps increasing. This comment coupled with his first seems to indicate that we should be expecting sparkling pony mounts to be patched in before long!

(Official DayZ Cold Nights Thread) Episode 4 OUT NOW!!!
Dullard replied to SteveZGaming's topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
It's a good first effort, and definitly ambitious. Thumbs up for creating! I do have a few suggestions though. Chat's spamminess is incredibly diminished since you filmed this video, which is a good thing for us filmmaker. To further help with that, I'd recommend finding a server that offers NO chat messages about player deaths. There are servers that offer basically NO chat messages, use those to cut down even further on chat marring your shots. Secondly, try playing around with cropping your video to get rid of the UI. It's a passable solution at best, but if you plan ahead you can usually counter any of the negatives you might find. Also, you really need to spell check your text. This is an incredibly easy and quick thing to do. You could paste it into Google, or use a free program like OpenOffice, or even just use an online tool like SpellCheck.net to help find and fix any misspellings. As far as the audio goes, I think you should try to go for a more natural sound for your narration. I understand what you're trying to do with the voice acting, but I honestly think in its current form it takes more away from the video than it adds to it. There is a free audio program called Audacity that gives you a ton of options for editing sound files. Try messing around with the effects to change pitch, tone, and speed. Also, the program offers a few options that can help you deal with lowering/deleting the "popping" that comes from speaking too closely to the microphone. Or, you could just make a homemade pop screen for cheap. Hopefully you find some of these suggestion helpful and I hope to see more work from you soon. -

I'm just throwing this out there... but maybe the server roll back was an attempt by a certain someone to get rid of this thread. ;) -

I think "Your Ladyship" or "Mr. Ma'am" would suffice. -

I agree with this. I have the most fun in the first 20 minutes. First 20 minutes = OMG I need stuff! After the first 20 minutes = OMG someone is gonna take my stuff!
