Get used to 30 fps. I'm not one of those guys with 1000 $ gaming computers, I have a crap laptop just like you. I play fine at 30 fps. Just turn everything to very low. Except for maybe the res. -

I'd like to see a map based on texas (Shotguns galore!) Also maybe a challenge map in the UK, guns would be exetremely rare, and the only guns you would find would be military grade. Maybe a select few guns in some places by criminals who are now zombies... -
Arma 2 is set in 2009. Not 1970. Dayz is set after the events of the arma campaign. (Presumeably) Therefore, Dayz is at the very least set in 2011, not 1970/80.

They should add a check inventory system, so that a bandit can hold their items and promise them back as incentive to stay logged in. I like giving my victims something such as rangefinders or a mountain dew as incentive to stay alive and not attempt to fight.

My ideas on making the zombies much more of a challenge.

For those of you who are short on time I highlighted the important parts in Red. Currently in DayZ zombies are a second thought to players, maybe even an afterthought to everything in the game. I want to be actually scared when I hear the screech of a zombie. The zombie noises should also be alot...Scarier. The current ones are just annoying. If any of you have ever downloaded and played charons undead mod, the dayz zombies should be alot like the infected of the undead mod. (Not the zombie class-those ones just waddle around like ducks with their arms outstretched.) Sometimes when I play the undead mod I actually flinch from fear. (And that's without a character I spent hours developing.) The screams of the undead mod are genuinely scary, and one hit starts the infection count-down. Infection count-downs would be a brilliant addition to dayz, just not a 100% chance on hit. Maybe...A 10% chance? or 5%? the countdown in the undead mod is 6 minutes, it should be a few hours in dayz. Also, the antidote could spawn in the hospital and at helicopter crashes.(This feature should make for some intense races against time.) Next we move onto detection. The zombies detect you as accurately as a regular arma unit. However it shouldn't be this way in dayz, as their eyes have rotted. Or maybe have zombies with random eyesight, and hearing health, creating randomized detection? either way, the zombies in dayz are much too easy to sneak by and get loot. You should NOT be able to lose them so easily in a pine tree, or bush, or forest. Assuming all this is implented into SA then they would be able to run indoors, meaning you can't simply deal with them in a building. The screech should alert a lot more zombies than currently (Should alert the zombies across the road...) In the undead mod, the only efficient way to finish zombies off is a headshot, otherwise they take up to five shots simply to kill. In the undead mod, you also cannot outrun them, meaning that you must shoot them before they come to you and you can't simply lose them in the woods. however, you should be able to outrun them while sprinting, and jogging in the standing posture. but you should not be able to outrun them in the crouch-run posture. going back to the undead mod again, it is very hard to defend yourself against a horde by yourself, easier to defend in a group, although still fairly hard. this would undoubtedly encourage teamplay, or at least until the zombies are gone and one person envies those Night Vison Goggles ;) -

If you're quick enough, you can press the respawn button before it grays out. This is one of the pros of a not-so-fast computer :) (Ok, maybe the only pro...) If it grays out too fast, turn your graphics up until it starts to lag. -
In a real apocalypse you arent going to waste ammo killing them just because. This isnt left for dead.

For the last freaking time, zombie kills should not unlock things! You should be able to find or craft paint, and paint your face or clothing wherever you want right off the bat! Otherwise, good idea.

The only issue i've had is zombie's seeing me through walls, not hitting me through walls. Weapons now ussually just drop to the ground which is sometimes annoying. The only time i died from physics was when my friend's gun hit me and broke my legs, and when I broke my legs in a door on purpose. (I find it amusing :)
