No. Head into the military camp to get some gear. Then head to the airfield to get more. After that, there's a road to zelenogorsk and you can get maps, compasses, and backpacks from the zelen market. After that you're all geared up, and safely geared up too!

My latest stupid death occurred on Taviana I helped two presumably self-defense (Or bandits through betrayal) bandits as they did not shoot me on sight. I was helping them with their huge hoard of zombies with my measly g17 and they were nice enough to ask me if i was going to shoot them. I didn't and one of them passed out, having no ammo I bandaged him while asking the other to take out the zombies for me. I then told them I was going to run into the nearby military camp to check for supplies. I ran in front of the bandit's gun as he was trying to shoot a zombie. "YOU ARE DEAD." -

Am I the only one who has no problem reading big walls of text like that? Anyhow, Guard dogs should just be a menu option for dogs in 1.7.5. -

With 221 posts I don't think you need advice. Although i'm probably one of the not-so-good dayz players. My friends might be considered people who hold me back (No offense to my good friends-nevermind the fact that they'll never read this :D) -

Make it a server option. Although i'd like to see it. It would just hit harder. One of the things I don't like about zombies is we often forget they were people like us. I think zombie/infected children would make us think about it more and help us remember that infected were once humans with a personality and goals. -

One week is too short. More like two weeks, or even a month for every season. But this would be pretty hard to implement. Maybe something for far down the road far after the initial release of dayz. Or even a community mod. -

I'd like to thank whoever revived this :D Sadly, I don't remember my first time :( Well, the first time I actually did something. My VERY first time spawned i walked up to guy with a pdw and there was another noob with broken legs beside me. We just sat there leaning and saluting until the guy with the pdw broke my legs and me and the other noob died from zombies :L -

Can't remember his name. Took me about a month of play lol... I was in the elektro fire station when a guy came up the stairs I was new at the time so it took me all the ammo in my pdw. He was knocked out however i thought he was dead...As soon as I realized he was knocked out he regained consciousness and then I finished him off with my winchester. Best feeling in the world, accompanied by some guilt. -
Best place to start a hideout?

What do you feel like when you kill someone?

I admit I've killed unarmed survivors before, I felt a bit of guilt and then gave no second thought. (I'm now friendly unless you have a vehicle that I want, you shot first, or have a bandit skin.) Just this past day I was on a Taviana server where two bandits broke my legs and took my weapon. I respected them for actually holding people up (Like a real bandit would.) and leaving morphine. I killed one in the firestation though there was no time for emotion as his buddy was coming and I had to get the loot and morphine off of him. His bud ended up AS50ing me :( -
Keep crosshair and get rid of 3rd person, or get rid of crosshair and keep 3rd person, one of them has to go in my opinion.

I prefer Silence or DayZ ambiance when I travel. When i'm in a fight, silence (Well, aside from gun shots.) -
There should be a request system, unless the player is unconscious. Or, a notification "A player has accessed your backpack!" Accompanied by the sound of various clicks and zippers and general ruffling noises.

It's great, but DayZ and "What's his story?" ect need color changing, because I had a hard time making out "DayZ" at first.

I could care less whether it comes out this year or not, but a great Christmas present from rocket would be either a new dayz update or new standalone screenshots. Part of me wants it to come out on april fools so they can pretend it's coming out and then double april fools and reveal that it actually is coming out...
