Perhaps you should add that you can pick up only ONLY a makarov and only 1 or 2 mags. Anyways it sounds good.

Inventive to stay alive. (Share thread.)
tiresomehoopla replied to CreepySalad's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I say maybe a day, or even just 4 hours. I'd need it, I get caught in a never ending loop of revenge :P -
Words change meanings or gain new meanings sometimes bud. "Gay" used to only mean happy.
-
Hostage mode may take too much work and they already have a surrender key, instead they should add a check inventory option, that only works while in surrender mode, or with the other players consent. That way hostage situations aren't scripted, but rather acted out b the players themselves. "Let me check your inventory or i'll shoot you." Sounds better than "Drop the loot or i'll shoot you." You might miss those nvgs or a can of beans.

What Have you Done to Survive?
tiresomehoopla replied to Goreman's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I shoot my friend because I get mad at him for either crashing our vehicles or betraying me in a different game :P I won't hesitate to hold him at gunpoint to take a can of beans. I can't wait until cannibalism in standalone >:D -
Some people just shouldn't be bandits...

Reminds me of me :P -
Vote for the Standalone to have more vehicles on each map.
tiresomehoopla replied to JamesMoore's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I say maybe 50-100 is fine, but no more. -
What weapons damage helicopters?
tiresomehoopla replied to bonesnap's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I find the cockpit glass of the osprey to be rather weak... Not too much protection. -
What weapons damage helicopters?
tiresomehoopla replied to bonesnap's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
LMGs. Or lots of small arms fire at once. Aim for the tail rotor, that makes the helicopter spin out of control if disabled. -
DayZ Suggestion. TRAPS
tiresomehoopla replied to Royal Viking of Sweden's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I see bases becoming a normal part of gameplay, so I say yes to traps. And alert systems, I could tie rope connected to tin cans and tie the rope around trees so the cans rattle when the rope is shaken. However, wind and animals could set false alarms, and you'd be able to vault over this. Every time something is suggested, it seems like people say, "This is dayz not pirates of the caribbean! This is DayZ not indiana jones! This is DayZ, not minecraft!" Ect, ect... -
Elektro all the vehicles will be taken. Try a small town, or zelenegorsk.

The Day/Night cycle solution + ability to skip Day/Night
tiresomehoopla replied to TheG4Gaming's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
This is a good suggestion. Just get rid of the sleeping part, or add a sleep timer. -
DayZ - Destroying Everything in the Airfield (Must Watch)
tiresomehoopla replied to CRIPPLED's topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
You could have just shot it all with your attack helicopter. -
Advanced (zombie) infection in SA
tiresomehoopla replied to timboski's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I guess I misunderstood bandits and survivors letting you in for a price. You made it sound as if it was a guarantee, even on servers with 1 player. (NPC.) -
Advanced (zombie) infection in SA
tiresomehoopla replied to timboski's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
This has already been suggested. A lot. And I don't like the NPCs guarding the cure part. DayZ isn't really a game for NPCs. -
1st/3rd Person Perspective, Immersion and Awareness.
tiresomehoopla replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I say 3rd person should zoom in close or even to 1st while next to walls. Or, the closer you get to an object the closer the camera gets to your player, and the sides get blurry when right beside an object. The main reason I don't like 3rd person is because people use it to see over walls while staying out of view/danger themselves. I'm trying hard to contain my anger towards that matter. -
'Trust no-one' - is that really good advice?
tiresomehoopla replied to Target Practice (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
On namalsk I shoot on sight. I've never met any truly friendly players on that map. On every other map, i'm friendly. But one lesson i've learned is to never lower my weapon, or turn my back. -
I think it may add to the feeling of the zombie apocalypse. On a side note, think about how stupid you'd feel if you forgot where you buried your stuff. There should be a marker option :)

Isn't this just regular arma with a thirst and hunger bar? -
should i be getting more than 30 fps average (Default Video Settings)
tiresomehoopla replied to Raider (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah I think. You didn't have to post a huge wall of every single thing in your computer, really all we need is your RAM, graphics card, and your processor. Maybe some other things, but those are the basics. -
This should put elektro snipers to some actual use.
-
I'd like to see less zombies that are far more dangerous.

Waypoints only allowed with a GPS
tiresomehoopla replied to TheG4Gaming's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think it should become locked. For all servers. This is an anti-game, why should we cater to the little crybabies who want everything put in their lap? -
THAT football! CURSE YOU AMERICANS, FOR NOT BEING CREATIVE ENOUGH TO COME UP WITH A BETTER NAME FOR YOUR SPORT. I'd love to see a park, as one person already suggested.
