    I've got the exact same problem atm and have tried reinstalling both games etc etc, any luck finding a fix?

    Alrighty, i've tried completely reinstalling both ARMA 2 and ARMA:OA from scratch, repatched and reinstalled Day Z. Still no luck after this, although i'm pretty sure now that the problem is with Day Z, both of the games run fine with the standard campaigns in single player mode as well as joining other online games. It's just as soon as i try to enter into a game of Dz that it freezes about 25% into the load bar on the tank screen and then after about 5 minutes gives me an error 'i/o device error'. Mabey something's changed with the Dz installer? I installed using the 6 launcher aswell.
