Was running towards the store in Cherno with only a crowbar and suddenly two very heavily armed guys comeout and starts shooting at me. However they aggro every zed in the city and have to run away. 5 min later i go into the shop and find two dead guys with AS50, M9SD, GPS, NVGs, maps etc. I then started to hunt the guys who I pressumed killed them and shot at me. However I couldn't find them. :(

The VSS doesn't use the normal 9x19/9x18mm it uses a much larger 9x39mm round which has an effective lethal range up to 400m and an armor penetration of up to 10mm of steel. The round is also made to tumble when it hits a target making it extreamly deadly to lightly armoured targets. It's a small scale marksman rifle with next to no sound and no mussle flash. So it is quite powerfull in a scenario such as this.

I belive that the reason for the huge amount of NATO weaponry is because this probably takes place after Operation Harvest Red Which would also explain the amount of burnt out Humvees. However I agree that more weapons would be great. I'd love it if they would ad more civilian type weapons and AK variants (VSS would be sweet but probably a bit OP).

Things like this will probably be implimented into the mod when (if) it gets ported to Arma 3 since it will have a system for this built into the base game.

Even a normal AK round would put you out of action. Even if it doesnt pierce the vest, the force alone would create large internal bleeding.

I am not a 100% sure but I think that some servers are looping dates so that they will always have full moon nights. -

The moon follows the lunar cycle so it should be back in around a week. (Also the moon doesn't emit light, it reflects it from the sun :P) I think that the darkness works great. It can be quite annoying when starting a new character and it's cloudy so that the north star can't be seen and you only have a few flares (this has however been recently changed so it has become a lot easier since you get a flashlight at spawn). Normally however I can't understand how people see the night as unplayable since you should have the tools to make through it. A single bundle of chemlights should be enough to last you through the night and no, they can't be seen from a mile away. Use the red ones and it will be hard to see from more then 20 meters. -
They are not the traditional dead zombies. They are more alike to the infected in 28 days later/L4D

What value would NVGs have if you can see well at night without them? The night is good as it is. It became even better when they removed the gamma exploit because not everyone walks around with night vision anymore. If you can't see use a flare, chemlights or your trusty torch. They exists for a reason. -

Also the swimming thing isn't a glitch. It's an Arma feature which makes you drop most of your gear if you become to tired to swim (so that you won't drown). -

As long as you have a toolbox you can remove the wire. Just aim at one of the poles and it should popup in the action menu. BEWARE! It makes alot of noise when doing it so if the person is currently in the barracks he might hear you. -
You sound like an extremist fanboy. Its not my fucking choice that there are rarely ever any weapons spawning on the server I play on. Also night shouldnt be as fucking dark' date=' you should be able to navigate and see shit around you. The fact is I like the dark night since it seems like not many people know how to navigate and fight in it, which increases the chance of survival for me. Also from all the info that you have given it sounds like you dont use the means that are at your dissposal. Well except using the gamma exploit. Hopefully more servers with inverted days will be created so that people who don't want to experince night can just join another server.

Use a lightsource then. Well then you have made the wrong choice to use that weapon at night.

Chemlights can be really hard to see at a distance especially red. Flares should be thrown so that you see the target location in the throw but not when the flare has landed. The flashlight should never be turned on longer then 2 seconds at a time unless you use the Military Flashlight since it is hard to see at a distance. Since it is night you probably dont need to have a weapon in hand. It takes what? 4 seconds to change to a primary weapon even faster if you change to a secondary. The only time you actually need light is when you are in a town or in combat. A town raid should take no longer then 5-10 minuets so you should be able to escape before otherplayers arrive.

Well since there is no source of light except the stars this is what happens. So use chemlights, flares or a flashlight. Like you are supposed to if you can't see. But if you think it is still too dark just wait a few days, the moon will be back the 27th.

If you can't find ammo for your current weapon, get a new one. Disconnecting is just poor sportsmanship. You have no one else to blame but yourself for putting yourself in a situation which might kill you. -
Your character can't die when you aren't logged on. You can be gone forever and your character would still not die and no, the thing with consuming resources while logged off got removed.
