I found an amazing DayZ Epoch Napf server I'm currently playing with my friends, We have had amazing experiences already tho we have only played aproximately a day. It's based on Napf map that is found in arma files so you don't have to download another map for this one. Really friendly based community I made 4 player and 1 group encounter and none of them ended up with a shoot out. I'm here marketing the server because it needs more players. So the server is currently in ALPHA stage, we are adding new features constantly and we are on a stress test phase now. To see how much more powerful dedicated server we need to rent. IP: 178.75.191.59:2302 RULES: -No hacking, script injecting (obviously) = instant ban -No glitching the safe zone script and somehow killing a player or stealing items from his/her's backpack. -Use common sense -Racism or sexism will not be tolerated. -Only english in side chat -No voice on side chat. Doing any of these felonies gets you banned (temporarely or permanently) or kicked depending which rule you broke. Here are the current features: - No Over Power Vehicles (BTR-90, BMP-2, GPK Humvee, armored SUV, Vodnik etc.) - No Self blood bag - No bandit Trader (hero gameplay is encouraged and bandit gameplay disencouraged) - No indestructible bases -Trader cities are safe -Black market dealer will be hidden. -Active mature non abusive admins, with many years of DayZ Experience. EDIT: Managed to fix the problem by updating to beta of the beta patch via steam and launching the game from arma 2 OA Directory from an application called: Launch Arma 2: OA Beta Patch So heres what I have done so far: -Reinstalled: Arma 2, OA, DayZ, DayZ Epoch, Arma 2 Beta patch. -cmd winsock thing and deleted qualcomm atheros killer network manager from startup. -Tried beta of the beta patch :o This actually managed to get me on the server but it kicked me out after 10 seconds saying Authentication timed out. The server is very populated and my friend is playing on it constantly. I have currently the newest stable beta patch installed 112555. Whats even sillier is that the server requires 1.63 and I have 1.63 I tried to connect remotely but then it does not let me there saying connecting failed or kicks me instantly

You agreed to the terms that the game is broken as fuck your character is losst occationally for patches servers dont work and theres desync you all signed for this so you have no right to moan about this. Your own fault you bought the game despite all the warnings :/ report them bugs at the right section. Also like the other guy said 2 posts above me. Stay away from cod and bf!! really? M1 carbines and garands we dont live in murica you know you can hardly find any western block weapons yet alone ancient ww2 era guns. So thats a nono from me. Maybe add nagant revolvers ppsh and pps42 and yes. Kalashnikovs! Surely there can be some us made weapons but they better be rare because they mostly were usedd as sport guns. Eu made weaponry in other hand should be pretty common.

Mod or the game related issue?

calm the fak down both of ya :p not everyone has 7,1 jacks on their computer so it gets trickier. If you mute or disable the mic ingame you cant communicate at all with other players. How does someone bypass that?

bump into english speaking guy just talk english with him or say "no english" they will understand and people speak different languages in real life too and most people will play on native servers for best ping. So it aint gonna be that hars cluster once the game is polished

how youg turn off voip thats forced by the client?

By just simply forcing direct chat at all times would eliminate most of the advantage. Eventually you get so frustrated for hearing your friends twice you just stop usin any third party software. But what if i just mute everyone and disable my mic as default device and use mumble instead of skype so i can choose what input device i use? Answer: you dont if you are smart. Once they disable chat and only enable voip you cant hear anyone or no one can hear you ingame that leaves you very vulnerable for friendly calls as you cant hear them or wont be able to answer them or both. Youre gonna get killed many many times.
