Well it's Alpha. A lot of shit is going to happen and a lot of bugs are going to be found. So just bare with it and test the game.

Kids these days. Ive seen plenty of people talk shit on forums and then when u play in game with them they are totally opposite and run AFK every 2 minutes cause their parents are calling them. 2nd: half of them try to make a name for theirself on a forum so people will so call like them. Just how humans work. Nobody gives a shit about the next man as long as they feel good about them selves.

So u got a DMR and some NVGs. Congrats? Now go find a ghillie suit and you'll be good to go.

Eh, just like every other video game. One place will have a story that everyone likes talking about. Zombies will glitch out and not be able to climb back down the ladder sometimes thus is why u see them standing on the platform at the top of th ladder. Few bandits in some servers camp it out and just like the YouTube video "Scaring People" some people copied that idea and hide in the bushes and play sounds over direct chat to fuck with people. I usually go there whenever the server resets to get a vehicle. But other than that it's just another place on the map. Not real sure the whole game story of it prior to DayZ. But I'm sure Rocket will add more stuff to it as DayZ goes on.

At first all the "cheaters" did was spawn vehicles and weapons to kill everyone. Then the thunderdome appeared a few days ago. Now just about every "cheater" I come across will spawn to my location call me by name on VOIP chat and say they just want to see what gear I have. Then they will fill my inventory with missing weapon mags and disappear.

I've tested this before and found that if I loot the barracks clean and log out and wait for stuff to respawn it will not respawn even tho I am logged out. I have to log back in and run at least 30m away for it to respawn. So my guess is someone looted everything and logged out and stuff will now respawn until a server restart or that person logs back in and runs at least 30m away. Basically the same thing as loot farming except the person logs out so they won't be killed and doesn't know that stuff won't respawn even tho they are logged out. Many people do it farming ghillie suits in elecktro and cherno.

Tis the way of the bandit! No matter how far or how deep into the woods you go, you will be found and robbed and left with nothing but an empty home and a few scattered bones.

It happens on US 303 a lot of times. Found one after it was done and the server hadn't been reset yet looked inside the ammo crates and all I'll say is ;).

Stuff will only respawn after everything is taken from inside the barracks. That includes empty cans and all. Just pick up everything from inside the barracks dump it all outside behind them run at least 30m away wait on respawn. Repeat. Before u know it you'll end up with a pile of stuff behind it. Had some pretty awesome stuff in a pile last night, just didn't need any of it as I already had gear and server restart ate it all.

I will head back to the cost only to meet up with a friend and bring them back north.

That still doesn't matter, u done nothing wrong and had no control over it. So don't worry, just stay safe and use your gear wisely.

No you can not get banned for using player spawned gear it has been said over and over. The only way to get banned is by you spawning the items yourself. Keep the items and enjoy them while you are still alive.

Actually they can disable the shortcuts. When the stand alone comes out maybe. Just like in my suggestion thread. Razer's Synapse 2.0 they have a box u can check to disable alt+f4. All they have to do is code this into the .exe file as enabled and no way to disable it. But could be easily bypassed with other software.

Depends on the situation. Last night a friend and I was leaving the NW airfield to meet up with a friend. We were going to leave by the southern barracks and as we rounded a tree there was 2 people in ghillie suits standing by the dog house. So we turned around and headed east around the barracks on the edge of a field crouching through the tree line. As we are going through the trees we keep an eye out toward the barracks to see if those two guys happen to be leaving the airfield also. I turned and looked to the field behind us and see what I think is 2 zombies crawling, but noticed they was crawling the same direction for a while. My friend looked over and zoomed in on them to find out it is two survivors. Not wanting them to spot us or make us take another detour where we might run in to the guys in ghillie suits we decide to take them out. He decides to take out the guy in the front and I take out the second guy we line up our shots and let off a quick round. With both of them now dead he decides to go see what they had. He crawls out to them to find one had a lee enfield and the other a shotgun. After talking about how they both probably spent most of the day finding each other to group up and head up north we feel kind of bad. But then again we have to survive anyway we can.

ghillie suit for one SVD + ammo and a AS50 + ammo for another SVD + ammo. If not interested in the AS50, I'll take one for the ghillie suit

5 seconds is decent amount of time, players can still lose a good bit of blood from it and in close combat people can still be worried about getting killed.

I had any idea about ALT+F4 issue but it still won't stop them from using Abort. The ALT+F4 thing is like on Razer's software Synapse 2.0, you have an option to disable ALT+F4 while in a game. If they could configure that into DayZ somehow, just not make it an option make it automatically enabled for everyone, then add the 10-15 sec timer before you can log out I believe we would see a lot less complaints. It would also make it more challenging from people aborting to get rid of zombies or stop bleeding until one of their friends can get close enough to bandage them when they log back in.

Just looking for a few people to hang around with and play some DayZ. Kind of hard to find any help in game since it seems everyone is always shooting at you. I'm online playing video games everyday.
