Hey guys. I need some medical assistance. I am in the balota airfield watchtower. I am at 4000 blood and still bleeding. Please, someone help me out.

Hey guys, I just thought I would share my tale of how I turned from being a bandit to a passive survivor. My first murder (and hopefully my last) was when I snuck up on someone with a hatchet and killed for the person's shotgun. I felt a little bad, but I wanted the shotty. I was exploring Elektro some more with my new-found shotty when some guy with a hatchet popped out in front of me. I was ready to shoot but he yelled "friendly!" We talked for a while, then he warned me of some gunshots he heard, then he went on his way. Human interaction like this, I realized, was a lot more fun than just running around shooting people. Another encounter, albeit before my first murder, made my mind up about stopping banditry. I was exploring just outside of a town, when some crazy hatchet guy ran out from the forest swinging wildly at me. I did have a hatchet on me, but I ran anyway. Then I heard a loud gunshot. Through instinct, I went prone. Then I saw the crazy hatchet guy drop to the ground. A guy with a shotgun came out of the bushes and asked me if I was alright. I said yes, and asked if he had any drink, as it was red. He said if I put down the hatchet, he would give me a soda. I did as told, and I drank. He said I can stick with him, and I went with him to explore a barn we saw ahead. I found myself a crossbow. We got separated later, and I died about half an hour after we did, but I consider that one of my best lives. After the conversation in Elecktro, I thought about the story just told, and converted to being a survivor. That murder will hopefully be my last, expect my only PvP kills to be Bandit kills :) Don't get me wrong, I will shoot if threatened, but that's it. Just thought this was an interesting story to share, and hopefully it will convert more people to being survivors.

I had to think about this for a bit. If all of my friendly encounters were not friendly, I wouldn't trust anyone, and then I would kill on sight. So I guess if they happened the other way, then I would be a bandit. But they didn't :D EDIT: Thinking about it some more, even if they did go the other way, I would still try to be friendly because if someone is friendly as well, then double the everything :D

Yeah, but I was seriously thinking of becoming a bandit, so doing that then coming back I think qualifies.

Yeah So this guy probably got global banned for another reason, then using this as an excuse.

I am currently at the Krasnostav airfield watchtower, in dire need of a bandage and blood transfusion. If a medic would come to my aid I would be VERY happy. I don't wanna lose my AKM D:

Don't get all the hate on this guy. Once DayZ is finished in development and is stand-alone, why not make it for Xbox?

Medic is a hard job, but who knows...

I have never had any problem with Fraps and DayZ.

Hey guys! I am new to DayZ, and I love it. But I have one question. So I installed DayZ in the Six program, it works fine, and I assumed that since it was installed, I could launch Operation Arrowhead on Steam and play DayZ with Steam integration. Well, it just launches plain ol' Arma 2. It's not that big of a deal, I can still play from Six, but I would love to have Steam integration.

Yes, I always play in third person veteran servers.

That's an awesome story! You have my beans. That is pretty amazing, and I can actually agree with you on killing them there, I usually don't kill, but I wouldn't have taken a chance there either.

I will kill players for gear- but only if I REALLY need it. I will save players from zombies, team up, and give food and drink to noobs. I have killed a few players for stuff like shotguns, but that's pretty much it.

Hey guys! I have pretty much decided to be a bandit in Day Z, so beware. I will kill you if you have something I want, like I did in my first murder, although I won't be a jerk and kill people that just started or anything. I was in Elektro, found an Alice pack and a hatchet, so I climbed up onto a building to get a view of my surroundings. There was someone in front of the building with a shotgun, so I climbed down, avoided some zombies, and snuck up to the person and hacked away. She had a double-barrel, food and a bunch of other goodies, so I was happy :) What do fellow bandits think of my first kill?

I will kill people if I want their stuff, but I'm not heartless. I will give new players food and help, and I will only kill if I know they have good stuff.

That sucks... I once logged back onto a server and my AK-47 that I found the day before wasn't in my inventory :/ What can I say, the game is in alpha.
