Just curious about how many of you are actually survivors and bandits.

Hey, you probably won't be playing this game with anything above 20fps on lowest settings. It will be difficult for you to enjoy this game because the ARMA 2 engine is optimized so poorly. I have an i5 2500k @ 4ghz, HD 6950 2gb, 6gb ram and I have seen my fps dip down to the 30's in heavily wooded forests. I'm running 1680x1050 resolution and usually maintain 50-70fps on high settings. But honestly in this game high and low settings don't make that much of a difference in performance. If you want to play comfortably like me you will need a better GPU. Trust me when I tell you, your game will run like shit on the GT 520. An i3 is a duel core there is no way she/he gets 30 fps because this game is also very cpu intensive. I'm sure with an untrained eye 10fps looks like 30 fps. With a name like Samirocks321 you can't take advice from them. Unless you want your eyes to bleed from choppy gameplay I strongly advise you put down some more money and get one of those video cards. Don't listen to trolls telling you that you can play the game just fine. Hell I can use my 2001 HP laptop and tell you I can play this game, but is it playable? NO!

Visibility is just trees, grass, detail, ect. You should be able to see helicopters even if your visibility is around 3000. Have you ever seen a zombie 1000 meters away? Visibility should not effect your ability to see a crashed heli. Often at night time me and my friends drive around chopper hunting and find them all the time even you can hardly see them .

I'll trade a can of beans for it, no but seriously the rocket launcher is useless in DayZ.

Its like sex for the first time. Your best bet if you aren't sure is to observe the other player and see what they are wearing and what weapons they have. I have met a handful of friendlies on the coast, but they had no weapons. I'm more then sure If they had a gun I'd be dead. You can't trust anyone really, so distance yourself from people that aren't actually your friends on teamspeak or ventrilo. Never hike with a random person, because it's very difficult to communicate and they will probably kill you if you find a cool item. From what I've read they will put player stats up on the website, who knows when. Good luck and don't trust anyone!

You are the reason games have been dumbed down so badly. I like the challenge, If you don't like it please don't pollute the community with this non-scene. If you don't know what to do, then Google it or search on YouTube, there's literally endless amounts of guides. Research dose not just connect to games but to LIFE itself. Think about it, we are in the year 2012 and there is a thing called the Internet. Possibly the greatest thing invented, just type what you want on a search engine and find what you're looking for. If you have a question or want to find out how to do something, use the internet and stop bothering people on questions that could be answered yourself. I would totally understand if we were still using books and that was your our only way of obtaining information. But face it, if an idiot could install the DayZ mod then they should be able to open up Google or YouTube and figure out how to be successful in DayZ. If you're really having a difficult time tieing your shoes then look up, " how to tie a shoe" I won't tie it for you, nor will the developers of DayZ. When I started DayZ, I couldn't find a weapon for my life and that's because I didn't know where to look and you know what I did about it? I used the interweb to find where gun spawns are. Now I got all the cool stuff. Truth hurts right? Someone had to spill the beans.

The zombies are laggy as fuck, and you expect perfect headshots? Good luck predicting where they will be in the next 2 seconds once they see you. The only way I can headshot them is if they are next to me or running right at me.

The only places I bother to look for gear are the airfields, barracks , military tents and dear stands. I agree there should be a chance of good items spawning in residential areas, but the chances of you finding these good items will be drastically decreased. I don't think you should be able to go into any house and find an Bazooka, but if you do find one consider yourself extremely lucky.

I'm sure Rocket will rename this game to HoboZ. I think its a good idea, but would be to funny shooting someone in the face that's pushing a grocery cart up a hill!

Rocket you're awesome man! Thanks for all the hard work, but for those impatient people can you give them a "ESTIMATED" release date? And by any chance will the tents be fixed in this patch?
