I doubt that being invulnerable from other players' guns would be good. That would be too far from shadow of realism, what we (and devs) try to implement into game. But IF devs see there a problem, then i suggest a lightly different system. The newcomers, who first time would spawn in game, spawn just on coast. But after first death players are forced to spawn deeply in north-west forests (maybe move spawning point after every death farther to the west?). Now there they will spawn, maybe at distance 50 meters from already spawned players. Maybe in camouflaged tent, which disappear, when player leave it. Also this big "forest for spawning" could be mined. That mean, if player "reborn" there, then he/she have roughly one hour to leave it. Is 99 percent probability, that he/she can avoid mines. After one hour is 99 percent probability, that he/she can't. This reduce "big arrogant boys with big guns" pleasure to kill half born player who can't even shoot back. At same time this don't remove fear and don't add feeling of invulnerability, because is other "reborn players", who might be also bad person. The reality is, that this probably is true. And i too want in game more violent and frightening "zombies" or "infected". Because current "infected guys" don't seems capable to make a worldwide horror. PS.Of course i talked about SA. -

I said, AKM (AK-47) was replaced already in USSR. The civilian police had AKS-74U as the regular weapon. And the internal troops (the military structure, in a peace time is involved on police operations) had AK-74 and its folding variants. I mentioned about North Caucasus, yes, there is a little different situation. Some civilian police troops, who was send there, used also 7.62 variant of AK. That isn't big problem, but this is thing, where is difference between ex-soviet states and other post socialist eastern europe states. -

Laws on possession and carrying of the weapons isn't similar in these countries. Some examples, in Moldova and in the Baltic States possession and carrying of handguns is legal. If person have licence ofcourse. IIRC, in Georgia (country) is legal to have handgun, but prohibited carrying. Also i suggest to remove from Chernarus AK-47(AKM). Almost all these was exchanged for AK-74 (5.45x39) in ex-soviet countries even in 70th years previous century. Is some AKM used by police forces on North Caucasia, but these are relatively little number. And AK-74 could be found in prisons etc. Instead AKM in game might be civilian analogue - semi-automatic "Saiga" or "Vepr" in calibers 7.62x39 and .223 or more rare 7.62×54R. -

What mean endless resources? Really, i am curious, why anti-materiel rifles are so frequent in Chernarus. There isn't even large cities, with tall buildings, there isn't large deserted areas and really high mountains. And why someone thinks, that in Eastern Europe is they in large numbers. That's very specific guns. With many disadvantages and limits. But if we will see in SA a normal fog, variable wind, proper weight system etc, then we will see also more logic in human behavior. -

Yep, i guess too that FN P90 looks interesting and might pass fine in game setting, as "personal defense weapon" . Moreover, it is used in some Eastern European countries, at least in Ukraine, Poland and the Czech Republic. Though perhaps not in large numbers. -
As here was already mentioned, in Eastern European countries you can more commonly find german ww2 guns. P08, Kar98, also maybe rare MP40 somewhere in the attic. First as good collectible gun. Second as gun for hunters. Soviets sold (and gave for nothing) many Kar98, for different socialist armies, revolutionary insurgents, also for hunters on wolves. Most russian guns was collected and preserved on storage in the depth of the country. Logically, something remained far away from eyes of repressive institutions. Therefore i suggest P08, Kar98, also rare MP40, Nagant revolver, TT-30, Mosin–Nagant M44 Carbine without bayonet, very rare Mosin-Nagant sniper rifle. That from WW2 era. Now from the modern era - Glock 9x19(man, it are everywhere), Makarov (though it are now much less frequently visible), AK-74 5.45x39 (some EE countries uses them in army and in prison). Now what about many western weapons (and also AK-like semi-automatic carbines), you can today bought them in gun stores in many eastern european countries (M1 Garand, semi AR-15, H&K etc). But due gameplay i would too suggest reduce them availability.

Chernarus is becoming stale. New map?

I see it so. We have only part of Cernarus as playable map. Just South Zagoria. Imagine IF on the engine of ArmA III we will see a complete map of Chernarus? Maybe even the environment of summer season. Though, even then would be good if we will see some other territories. Some time ago I thought about expanding existing map (that was with discussions about separating bandits spawning locations from good players). And then I thought, what if to connect to the existing map of the north territory (behind Black Mountains)? Just as separate map on same server (which divides number of players between both maps). And both maps would be connected to each other through at least two mountain pass. Those old ideas isn't main point (the game is now gone in the other direction), but in future full game it might be useful. Also i guess, that traveling on other maps on big aeroplane, would be also a cool feature. -

In the survival game should be better to look around. What about size advantage, who knows, maybe later will come stamina disadvantage.. -
What? But yes overall weapons handling needs some 'love'. Especially of handguns. Holstering, lowering, "ready" position, hip-shooting etc etc..

IIRC, Chernarus is a country "somewhere near" Russia. Although it was not supposed to copy whole nature of the Chernarus from ArmA 2. But about mororcycles I agree, would be interesting, if instead some cars would be motocycles with sidecar. They may be even "Jawa".. :D
