most people dont have access to that NVG and even then most people dont know how to take care of them. and who has thermal anything other than police and military. (police dont really have that much either, the thermal that is). military guns would be found at crash sites, but you seem to forget this is a game that is based on the average person surviving. these items take the horror out of the game from which horror is a huge player. (keep in mind horror does not mean gore, it means fear). and it would be hard for bandits, not easier. if they had to use flares and glow sticks to do anything... might make them think harder about what they are about to do. thats if they can find you at all. not sure if you put to much thought in your post. this isnt supposed to be a military sim anymore. its supposed to be SURVIVAL HORROR. EDIT: i would also like to point out the batteries it would take to run them would disappear. making them nice paperweights.

the 50 cal, the NVG, the thermal, and one might want to remove the guns from the helo. GPS might want to go too. how many sats gonna still be up after the end... and whos communicating with them anyway to keep them going.

pathing, the walking through walls and make them stronger... only thing i know of thats bad

i didnt say it was the NW airfield, and i didnt say how long i survived till my tent went bye bye because of a bug. i was on Day 2 of the current guy i had when it happened. i never should have had to leave my little area of the map when the tent just disappeared from the universe. you seem to think i dont know what i was doing when i clearly did and still do. if the tent hadnt just vaporized i would still be alive because i wouldnt have had to go hunting for a new one all over the world.

rocket said these are not zombies, they are the infected. best "infected" i ever saw was in the crazies. if he wants zombies then the title "DayZ" is perfect, if he wants infected he should probably rename the stand alone "end of days" because the Z makes people think of zombies and the rules we have all come to know and love about the genre.

not that this is directed at me but the game is to easy for certain types of game play (bandits) and impossible for people who want to scavenge or live off the land. tents dont work, cars get despawned or just disappear (tents now disappear too), zombies still dont come and attack from the reports of rifles when they clearly should and sometimes they do (totally random), zombies still walk through walls, zombies are weak to gunfire when only head shots should work, and lastly the game does not take the psychology or murder into account. it does not take this into account because the military doesnt want its troops thinking about that in a military sim. this mod is supposed to be about SURVIVAL, well human psychology is a huge part of survival. Rocket being in the military should know that. i know i do... OOH-RAH

i dont believe the OP is correct but i will say this 1. Zombies needs to be buffed big time 1a. further reactions to the reports of weapons 1b. only killable with a headshot 1c. some items only drop from zombies 2. a humanity function needs to be implemented otherwise this is a military sim with zombies in the background

the universal phobia is violence. most people shy away or run from it as fast as they can. most people that play games are not that violent in real life and if anything are more shy than say... a football player or a cheerleader. and even then the later two will most likely not want to get into a fight. killing people is whole other issue. in the military a person has to be brainwashed over time to be able to do it. ever wonder why the call people, the enemy and not the other guys. its a way to make people think the other person is subhuman. to make them easier to kill. the fact this game doesnt take that into account is a problem. untill rocket adds a humanity function this isnt a zombie survival game. its still a military sim with zombies in the background.

the fact it says alpha is not an excuse for this game. today i was blown away by some dude and im not even sure if it was legit or not. i walked into a hanger with my head on a swivel and was killed with no one around. and the sound of gunfire was in my face, not distant. this tells me someone logged out when they saw me and logged back in after a few seconds to get around me. another issue is i wouldnt have to have been there if the damn tents worked at all and didnt either dump all my gear after a restart OR just disappear from the game with all my stuff in it. point is this GAME needs a ton of work. major content issues are a problem. and if the staff want to handle the cheaters like they want the Admins, then the staff better start hosting the games and take the power to host away from the players.

you might go after your ex but what about the guy down the street you never met. the fact is ammo is not scarce enough to make people want to waist it on a person. the zombies dont aggro from far enough and they arent strong enough to do anything. make zombies stronger

if i thought this was the average group in this game, i would sprint to the airfield and just own it solo. this is so bad. EDIT: how do you not have any cooked meat

today i found my tent and its items deleted. might have been the update... but its still bs. just pitching one is a pain

from what i understand they are not saving gear still. which is a pain when you off the beach

the map we have is HUGE. if you zoom out your map it gets really big. wouldnt mind adding new cities and military bases. maybe a nuke silo with an empty bay, a deepwater port, a battleship in dock we can run around in, a tent city overrun by the Zeds...

wow arent you lucky, i cant even fill my water bottles. then again im trying at a small pond. when i do it at a pump, it always seems to work though

find a toolbox... i can go anywhere i damn well want with it. no barbed wire or tank traps can stop me.
