I got to level 26 in BF3 or something and I've played maybe 10 minutes in BF4 before putting in down in disgust of all of the bugs. Btw welcome to the forums. ^ this. Saw a guy drinking on the upper floor of the bunker at NWAF. I was maybe 150m away and with my ACOG I put four shots directly into his head. He went down and I went to loot him. Stupidly, I had shot his head where his ballistic helmet currently resided. As I was trying to climb the stairs to loot him I heard "oh fuck that hurt" in a Russian accent and I looked up just in time to see that he had regained consciousness and combat logged. It's not really the weapon that can be OP but the player using it. Even an M249 is completely useless in the hands of an idiot running around firing from the hip at targets in an open field 200m away.

You don't need a gun to survive, only to kill people. All you need to survive is food, water, medicine, basic knowledge of the map and game mechanics, and the ability to not get seen by other players. All this is is griefing new players. Griefing new players causes them to come to the forums to irritate everyone with their whining. Some learn. Most don't and quit playing. Games such as EVE Online ban people who grief new players because without new blood the game goes stagnant and dies eventually. I'm not saying that would work for a game like this without a subscription, but making the game as unenjoyable for new people as you possibly can is a sure way to get them to stop playing it at which point the hunters will become the hunted. While you guys are busy slaughtering sheep there are packs of wolves out there hunting down other packs of wolves, developing actual skill with their weapons of choice.
