manually installing battleye does not fix the problem.

I had this problem for weeks and could only play for 15 minutes before this error came up and I got disconnected and that was lucky. I finally fixed this problem by going to the Arma 2 update site and downloading the Arma 2 "&" Arma 2 OA updates and installed as admin. Then the error still came up, but it never lags out.

I've had this problem for ages. I found changing the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\BEsetup\setup_BattlEyeARMA2.exe" to compatibility of windows xp service pack 2. Then run as admin, then copy the file "checkFileList.lst" one level up. This worked for me for a couple of days then it stopped working again. Have you been able to fix it?

Awesome, I got bored and decided to get the bandit skin. Little did I know that when you die, you keep it. Now I'm forced to kill everyone because I know they'll shoot on sight even when I don't want to be a bandit anymore haha.

I finally fixed this error. After days of tinkering. Here is the solution. Follow this video - Then after you have followed all those steps. When you run six-update - let it do its thing and update - this will roll back your version to 1.7.24 and when the green button says "Launch" Then copy the 1.7.2.5 files into the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\addons" folder. If you close out of dayz and six-updater, when you come back - six updater with downgrade you to 1.7.2.4 again. simply copy the files over again - only when the green button says launch. Phew, made me so angry.

No matter how many times I update this, avoid six-updater by going through steam. I still either have a big red X next to the server name, meaning its not updating. Or I get stuck at loading.

I'd already done this. Still I have the small red "x" next to the servers saying Bad version.

I reinstalled Arma 2 and the other version (redownloaded 15 gig!) just to get rid of a battleye error, after it updates while on a server, it stops responding and I get like a 900 ping. Alas, that was yesterday and they updated it again today so hence, same problem... it can't be that hard to get it right!

Hi, I've been reading about how a lot of people have had issues connecting since the new patch, I've done everything it says... updated everything, reinstalled battleye etc. I'm able to get into server lobbies, but... when I do, after about 5-10 seconds my ping goes from 50 -> 2000+ but I'm not kicked by the autokick, funnily enough. If I attempt to spawn, I just lose connection with the server. Is anyone else having this issue? how do i fix it?
