  1. apparently based on the "they chase you forever" the OP has never tried running in 1 side of a building and out the other, or up a hill, or along a dock, or just in 1 direction for a long period of time, i have lost groups of 10+ zombies in all of these ways
  2. heli crashes re-spawn on a restart, cars do not they will remain in their saved positions unless they have been destroyed since the last restart
  3. oh i wouldnt worry about it going sour, i'd just have somone lined up with an AS50 and a single 5 round mag ready to blow the car if something goes wrong, and ofc i'd be totally naked delivering it, however as all the stuff you've offered me except the NVGs and gilly are common(and in the case of the ammo is way less than i would want) i will pass i'm afraid, but best of luck to you :) oh and just a little tip, medical supplies are totally valueless to anyone who knows what they're doing, it takes 10 mins to raid a hospital and get all the medical supplies you'd ever need UBCS eh? i will keep a thermal scoped eye out for youall :D but love the servers, 6 hour restarts are lovley!
  4. like i said make me an offer, there is very little i NEED, but i'm open to potential backups and rarities, radios, L85s, 5 round AS50 mags, GPSs, gilly suits, large ammounts of sandbags, that kind of thing Incidentally the hopper, i totally have my main cars stashed on one of your servers :P
  5. yeah but if they havent got a car anywhere they can just settle on whatever crappy server somone has a spare car on :P
  6. hmm, ok i stand corrected apparently i have seen every car but that one and the crappy pickup :P my bad o/
  7. just FYI the military offroad IS the uaz, as for having one to sell, i have access to 2 UAZs and 3 pickups across different servers, in various locations, what would you offer ;)
  8. does anyone else think hordes of zombies swarming down trees from a forrest is an awesome/terrifying prospect?
  9. pretty much everywhere? its called mutton or lamb, you may have heard of them

    No Cars?

cars are limited spawns, the older a server is the less likley it is that you will find cars at their spawn points. while you MAY find a car in a city in a server thats been running for a while it will have either been abandoned there or there's someone nearby that will be seriously pissed off you're messing with their ride. try looking places players would put them rather than random high foot traffic area that no retard will leave a car in unless they dont want it anymore or are nearby
  11. the game is buggy, if you lose items its pretty much best to shrug it off and move on, often its issues with things not updating, for example, your items on your char are (i belive) stored on the hive server, however tents are stored on the server host, which means if there's any discrepancy between the 2 saves and you log out say having taken all your stuff out of a tent, it may be both you didnt save and it did either, meaning the items are gone from your invent and no longer should be in the tent(i've lost 3 bizons 2 coyote backpacks and some gilly suits to this) the solution, or work around if you prefer is always to give the game a couple of mins to update before you ever log out if possible
  12. give refunds on a free mod? whut?
  13. your best option is to get yourself close enough to a wall that you'll be able to loot your body from where it is from a new spawn, bugs happen all the time (i've experienced this myself, had to suicide)
  14. yeah so myself an a friend were sat in our camp, prepping for a jaunt to some cities for some sniping and gear, when suddenly her skin changes to a military cammo outfit complete with helmet, and suddenly a dude appears in our camp, after some chatter he spawned a helicopter, before we both decided to protect our stuff from his eventual rampage by logging out, his name was "L33tm3n" there was a hacker on the same server earlier on that performed a mass TP and kill which may be the same guy but idk, also i'm pretty sure that 1st hacker was mass breaking legs as my friend and i both randomly broke our legs standing still with no damage taken. Oh and one other thing i forgot, L33tm3n took 6 rounds to the head from my AS50 and didnt die
  15. 1st part was probably a hacker, second part, you should have shot him sooner
  16. Zed is correct in terms of the english language, but Zee sounds so much better for dayzee, as for what to call zombies, am i the only one who prefers to yell the whole word? much more dramatic :D
  17. i looted 2 heli crash sites today, both fresh after re-starts, one didnt have a single weapon just ammo and one had a medical box and a fnfal and some junk, its just luck, sometimes you get a rich crash sometimes it's trash
  18. 2 things can happen as a result of this; #1 OP gets shot by somone for his stuff or #2 OP is or has a sniper covering the church
  19. So, this is just a little story of what happened to myself and my friends the other night, not a whine or a rant (maybe a little bit of a rant). We set off as a group of 4, we had all been alive a while and had aquired a selection of mid to high rarity weapons, as well as building up a camp of 6 tents and 4 vehicles (3 stolen and 1 trashed as our camp was sacked after we logged, but thats not the point) after setting up and piling into our truck we set off for the northen airfield, going via a hospital and stocking up on enough medical supplies that we could just go nuts with the Zs up there and not worry about blood loss, leg breaks etc. Amazingly the NWAF was quiet and full of fresh loot, which suprised us as the server was reasonably busy (25~ people on) and so encouraged by our success there we set off for stary sobor for the military tents, high yield, high risk as we all know what the snipers are like in stary. But we were confident, there were 4 of us, all armed decently with large stocks of ammo, and one of our number with an M104 to cover us from the woods while the rest of us looted the tents. but of course being in a truck (the vs3) that is louder than the sound of the windows start up noise at 3am when everyone else in the house is asleep, taking the truck all the way in would give us away to anyone nearby in an instant. so after parking the truck back some way in a forest we set off towards the tents, moving cautiously in the hope of coming on anyone sniping from the hill from behind and to scout the tents for people. as we went, chatting away on TS, one of our number lost sight of us and fell back a little way, so the rest of us circled around trying to find them again. Then everything went to hell, one of our group of 3 still together spotted who they thought was our 4th, same clothing colour and same sunglasses (damn numbers of people in aviators!) he looked at them for a moment before suddenly announcing he had been shot down and in the confusion while we tried to figure out if it was friendly fire or confusion as we expected, the mystery 5th person gunned down the second of the people with me, and as i hunted desperately for them hoping to avenge my fallen comrades so we could salvage their gear, he opened fire on me as i tried to scope on him for the headshot, in retrospect, the m16 acog isnt great at close range with the scope ^^; luckilly before he could kill me i dashed sideways into a cluster of bushes and began frantically bandaging myself as i was bleeding in pain and at 3k blood, as well as shouting for our 4th to try to get a bead on us before the player spotted me and finished me off, as i had failed to bring painkillers and was unable to defend myself sufficiently at that point. And then, joy of joys our 4th announces she has the guy in her sights, and the other 3 of us all shout for her to blow him away, her first shot takes out his legs, crippling him, and then... that *insert string of profanity here* disconnects to avoid taking the death he so fairly deserved. now most of us at some time have D/Ced to escape, and we all have our rules in our heads about what point its ok to exit out after PVPing/aggroing, if it be when you're just starting and cant defend yourself or when you've eluded your persuers and hidden long enough to feel safe but not want to venture back out to the town/airfield/whatever you were exploring, but this is just the worst kind of abuse, picking a fight, finding you're not winning and escaping like a coward But the big thing from this story is my question: does anyone else find it really damn hard to tell who the hell each person is if you dont have their name showing up?
  20. wiki says: It has been rumored that the weapon was removed during the 1.7.2 update, but there is currently no solid evidence whether it was a glitch or has been removed permanently. Update: The weapon was NOT removed.
  21. i was screaming for her to shoot the guy, which she did, and i'd like to point out when you can lose people just by them being on the other side of a couple of thick trees, a building, a wrecked car, over the crest of a hill, basicly anything that makes you lose sight of them, and when you have to stop moving fairly often to check your inventory, change guns, check your map, eat, drink or dance the fandango, losing sight of people for a few moments and needing to re-group isnt that much of an uncommon thing even among very experienced gamers. i should clarify, when i said lost, we're talking about 10-15 seconds and needing to pause to re-group, not somone has run off into the sunset in totally the opposite direction and cannot get themselves back to us. also, there's a difference between girls who play games and girl gamers, much like there's a difference between guys who play games and gamers.
  22. this is more or less exactly what i was going to say, just putting a timelimit on switching characters to other servers would solve so many issues
  23. yeah... i mean there's a certain ammount you can do with the face picker, they can always tell which ones me since i'm a zombie in shades, but still, just faces arent enough especially when somone's prone or facing away from you also it was the girl that got lost, but it wasnt really lost so much as, there was a building between us and her (as it turned out)
  24. thats not the moral of the story at all, if it werent for her shooting the guy we wouldnt have gotten any of our friends stuff off their bodies, also to 2nd post, who said anything about a shotgun? we had respectivly: me (m16 acog) her(ak74 kobra) sniper that would have covered us(m107) and other guy(some other gun that used stanag rounds idk what)
  25. basicly the best way to find cars is to hunt for player camps, they can be anywhere sure, but theres 3 rules for camp hunting: 1. people camp places that are easy for them to go back to, meaning; 2. people will camp near landmarks they can recognise, clearings, rocks, interesting shapes on the maps, height markers 3. while some will hide minor things (ATVs, bikes, pushbikes) near to major loot spawns or nearer the middle of a map, the more loot spawns around a place, the higher chances somone will run through it, so people with lots to lose will chose harder and more inconvinient hiding places to protect it As for actually going out and then finding the vehicles, the best bet is to set aside a couple of hours, stock up on food and water and journey around the edge of the map, coming inland to check clearings and distinctive map markings till you find one. the OTHER option which is much more based on luck and requires having a car in the first place is to simply drive around the map, going through every town and village, because people raiding little towns and villages rarely bother to park their cars outside as it takes too long transferring loot, so you can find pristine vehicles just sat in the middle of the road... just watch out for owners ;)
