Oops.

I've really only played the game 3 times, the rest of my deaths coming from pressing respawn on accident, and I've wanted to try and survive with somebody else. I would need some tips and still need to learn the ropes, so I'd probably need someone who could bear with me. I've managed to survive around 2 hours on my own, which is probably terrible, which is why I think I'd be a bit more successful with a partner. No mic at the moment, managed to screw it over by stepping on it.

All it does is go into my tool bar next to my flashlight, but I have no idea how to make it my primary.

I'm curious, because I just bought Arma 2 Combined Operations, and want to install DayZ, but I don't know if I should install it manually or use the six updater.

Well, like the title says; I want some tips! I've been reading about the abundance of bandits and how annoyed people are with getting shot and how they don't manage to survive very long. I don't think that being killed a ton is such a big deal; you just respawn.I don't want to die a lot, however. I have been reading up on the game and tips for newbs, but most of them are very obvious. I know to get supplies and avoid Elektro and Cherno and other big cities, but I want some more in depth tips. Where should I run, what's the chance (I know it's low.) I'll find someone who won't blow my brains out, the rarity of cars, etc. I just want to be prepared before I start the mod. Thanks in advance, guys!
