Alright. Rule #1 of Dayz: Do not get attached to your gear, you will not keep it for long. Very useful tip, saves you alot of anger. As for the server going down and giving a wrong version message, I can tell you that SE10 is running version 9413, which is the latest beta patch that just got released nor an hour ago. I was at a deer stand, just finished looting when I saw movement in the distance. It was another player. So I got my precious M24 ready, made a quick judgement call on how far away he was, zeroed the scope at 400 and bam.. down he went. Bullet hit him in his left shoulder, fell to the ground, it took him 45 seconds to bleed out. Got an M4A3 and some other goodies from that guy. I was in a deer stand. I saw a target. I had a sniper rifle. I killed him for sport.

Wow. How you survived for so many rainy years IRL is beyond me. Plus, Chernarus got flowers. Many of em too. Just get up in the woods. If you can't stand the rain, change server or take shelter in a house until rain moved on.

What I mean by that is, I've read several suggestions regarding journals/diaries. So create a new form category called "Journals" or something and let ever player create their own thread there. Other players can read these journals and comment if they want to. Easy solution to those requests and it adds more fun to do on the site.

Where did you guys read about the hive being down? Can you give us a link? A trustworthy source?

Me and my group also lost a vehicle full of stuff. Can't really tell when it happened though, it was there 3 days ago and then we went away (midsummer and stuff), logged back in yesterday evening to find out that this vehicle was gone, meaning that some time during those 2 days we were gone, it disappeared. Now, I just thought someone found it and took it. But reading here tells me it may just have disappeared on its own which is a shame because it was fully loaded with ammo, weapons, food and water. And yes, all our tents did get wiped too, before we went offline a few days back we read that the tents will be wiped so we took the vital stuff from those tents and placed it in our car, which we then drove off with to a more secure spot. We did save the car after all gear was in it and we were done. Didn't help much, though.

Nametags off on all servers. Crosshairs off on all servers. Leave 1st and 3rd person as an option for the server admins to decide. Let the players choose what and how they want to play. Those who wants hardcore, play on servers that doesn't allow 3rd person. Problem solved. Those who wants the casual, go on servers that allows 3rd person. Problem solved. I don't know what the big fuzz is all about, calling 3rd person "an advantage you shouldn't have". I mean, if you play on servers that allow 3rd person, you have that advantage too. It's equal, it's all good, why whine about it? If you go on a server where 3rd person is on, but you choose to play all hardcore and stick to 1st person, that's fine, but don't whine about other players "cheating by using 3rd person", you have the very same option as well - you just choose not to use it, and in doing so, you're making it a disadvantage to yourself. And that's nothing else but stupidity.

I got a small suggestion about tweaking. The heartbeat thing is awesome, it helps alot when judging other players. BUT, can you please make it so that the heartbeat thing only "plays" if you look at the player when you aim down the sight and looking at the player? As it is now, you hear it even though you're not looking directly at the guy. When playing in a group, it's bloody annoying to hear those heartbeats all the time.

Perfectly fine arguments. Second one too. Only thing you managed to do was create a post just as long as the bible, but it's containing nothing but personal attacks, insults and bad words against rocket and his ways of handling and developing this mod. I just think that if you think you can do better, do it. Don't just talk it, walk it. Create a game/mod, do the right choices 100% of the times, keep 100% of your player base happy, 100% of the time. You do that. Should you succeed, I will respect you and your post far more than I do right now. You're just trolling.

This guy obviously doesn't know shit. 1) Beta patches work very well with steam. Read up. Your failure to do so and comprehend it is not our, nor rockets fault. 2) L2p. Get some skill. Stop playing as if this was an ordinary shooter game. You bitch about this just because you can't simply go to the airfield looting the best bling bling in the game anymore without getting 50 or more zombies after you. Your tears are delicious. 3) Point many stated before in many different threads; This is alpha. You are a tester. Don't like it? Gtfo.

One of the most important things that needs attention is the bug with camo/ghillie suit imo. I'm scared of putting one on, don't want to end up in the ocean and lose my gear and I'm sure many agree.

For no reason. It is perfectly logical that you need a toolbox (as in the right set of tools) to repair vehicles. You can't do it with your bare hands and fingers. And so, I too asked this very same question in another thread, as I also struggled with finding a toolbox. The answers blew me away too, so many hours wasted on trying to find something that I thought was necessary to have to repair stuff, only to find out that you don't need it at all, except if you're gonna set up barbed wires and/or tank traps.

You do not need toolboxes to repair vehicles.
