when you get used to it, nothing is better than the manual download and your own management with the arma II launcher. i hope you solved your issues with the 6 updater, but if you have issues maybe you should try te manual way ( really easy to do )

to me, skins are working fine since the 1.7 + BETA patch try taking the last beta update, this problem happen with the 93825 beta patch. Take this one and try to join servers with. ftp://downloads.bistudio.com/arma2.com/update/beta/ARMA2_OA_Build_93701.zip But maybe the issue is solved since 2 days ago about the "error script restriciton 16"

people really think they'll be spawn raped by bandits? waaah ... bandits will be borred soon enought to wait for minutes to kill an mostlyempty guy. The nogun spawn was cool ..harder, forcing players to be smarter

no + you are not here to have fun man. You are here to test the fucking hell until the experience is hard enough to make you rage quit! you have tons of tutoriels on the internet to learn the basics stuffs. If you are french i 'll help you getting used to everything ,just pm me. If you not french, you'll find better tutoriels and people able to help you than me & my badass english

the free version is still playable. i played with it for almost 2 months. But believe me, the HD texture with the arma II full will change A LOT your experience and you'll not suffer lot of FPS decrease. Even at medium graphics the game will be lot better with the full version than at maximum graphics with the free version.

you can run this with arma II free (you'll still need arma 2 OA of course) you can do it without steam , you don't need steam at all since you can manage and launch the mod with the Arma II launcher TAKE NOTE: you'll not have the HD textures with arma II free (and so to get the full HD text you need to buy Arma II (not the free, but the full version) and so if you plan to do this i suggest you buy Combined operation (including Arma II +Arma II OA)

Player don't get battle eye ban from gun but from changing scripts or values ingame no i didnt. People who cheat are the same in real life. They cheat to access stuff, they abuse, they dont give respect and destroy people pleasure for their own pleasure. No matter if its a game or whatever, thats mostly showing a sign of selfishs individuals and dumb people. You can consider yourself the same apparently.

tbh , i have some friends im trying to bring to the game tonight , 4 of them installed the game, and 2 of them cannot enter any game: kicked by battleye for script 16 or something. They just installed the game ,they dont even know how to use flares lol. We try to sort it out, but the fact is they don't cheat and they experience problem. (one of them re installed BE and could rejoin for some time, but after he logged off it say the same , kicked for blabla script 16) so i believe prolly some people are in this case , even if i have no doubt there is tons of cheaters.

i would like to thanks the Dayz staff. It should be very hard to deal with all thoses guys complaining and mainly what is hard is the fact you tell them to go solve the issue with battleye and they fucking cry there again. That's incredible. I also think the way the staff express himself is very good. Not some false attitude like commercial bullshit studios who try to please everyone with bullshit and falses hope.No, your main quality is your sincerity, when you have something to say you say it like normal humans, and not like fucking bots. I really want to thanks this attitude. And to all the hackers and people who got banned : i never had any hack or cheat or anything like that on my computer , i never had , fucking never, a single problem with a wrong ban, a mistake ban, or anything, in 15 years of video game and almost 6 years in competition games. If you are banned, there is prolly a reason, not a coincidence. And so, fuck you all bullshit lamers noobS, you deserve it.
