We (my friends and I) have also discussed this idea and think it would add a great gameplay element to dayz, and arma in general... Who doesnt love a great drive-by shooting!!

Hey ALL! Just wanted to let people know we have put up a new ASYLUM server in celebration of the latest patch. WE loved the original play style of Dayz and feel this patch has brought the game back to that wonderful difficult tense place we all KNOW and LOVE!! In addition we have always felt the game really comes to LIFE in first person; creating a full immersion feeling, more realistic gameplay (no peaking over walls etc...)... so on that note, come check us out! Wanted to let everyone know this is a first person , no crosshairs, no sidechat, no waypoints hardcore expert server! Come give it a try I can almost guarantee you will never play third person again!!

We are working on our site and have just put our auto-reboot in place (currently every four hours), we have our server set on Hawaii time... :D Come check er out!

We are the loving the latest patch ,so much we put up a new server {private hive: THE ASYLUM), it feels like Dayz did back in May of last year...Infected are once again a real threat, we find ourselves scavenging for antibiotics more then anything. My only criticism is way too many heli wrecks. We literally have found numerous wrecks (4-6) all clustered in a very small area. All in all this patch (IMHO) has brought life back to an otherwise stale game. The feeling of constant danger and sense of impending doom created by an infected horde that poses a real threat coupled with minimal gear (weapons, car parts etc..) has recreated that initial feeling we all loved when we started playing. Hoo-RA! Great job guyz.

ANy sort of update would be appreciated and enjoyed.. maybe just a nibble for the new year??? :D

Great!!! I got (against my better judgement and an utter WASTE of $40) Warz just to get my zed fix while the mod was left "unattended" (no offense meant by this, you guyz have been busy); well needless to say I have been left STARVING, glad I can go back to playing a survival game that is actually worth my time.... can't wait for the standalone... really I CANT FRICKIN wait!!

Background: I had a tractor parked at gas station, was meeting a random guy who was supposed to be helping me fix a heli. He told me he was on a bike coming from the north. I hid in the woods , went AFK for 30 secs (which I told him I was doing), when I get back I see a guy running around on foot with an m14 sniper on his back. He is obviously trying to get position on the tractor (where he thinks I am).... I ended all that noise with a few shots form my AKM... my girlfriend caught the video on her IPHONE... lol enjoy:

I personally love getting on the little pussies private hives and killing the whole crew who is running it (usually ending in them hacking my character and killling him, but who cares!!! LOL). Always the most fun to play fair and WIN!!!

My humble advice, play on private hive servers for now. way too many problems with the official hive (ie GHOSTING!!!). Check out the threads on The Asylum servers, or the Sanctuary servers!!! or just filter Asylum in your multiplayer filter in game.

I agree 100%, these are the only guyz to go through : they really kick ass. Unmanaged dedicated is the way to go , Limestone Networks will get it done.

I can not rave enough about these guyz... After intense research , scouring the forums (for others empirical knowledge), and one cancelled order (all I can say is host altitude is crap) my in-game homeeey and myself decided to get a server through Limestone Networks and we could not be more impressed with these guyz. They not only keep you informed throughout the whole process , they get it done lightning fast. We ordered an unmanaged dedicated server and it was up , running with us installing software within two hours. These boyz out of Texas are kicking ass... LIMESTONE .. THANKS!! especially the rep. who spoke with me on the phone Andrew, enjoy the a/c brotha! Get some sleep!! lol

LOl, Not sure what you are referring to... Takes ALOT to get under my skin Hash, I rather hear the TRUTH and it hurt then a candy coated lump of crap. So please don't hold back, I can only grow from it.

If you haven't run into the issue of ghosting and hopping yet, you will eventually find it can be completely game-breaking. You say to let him work on "actual problems" yet in my opinion, server hopping and ghosting is one of the largest problems the game currently faces (duping and hacks aside). " AMEN!!!!!

Well I am not a customer (thank GOD), but saw the thread and was shopping for a host and have been shocked at not only these guyz customer care but from what I have read/heard HFB as well... total crap. Paratus my friend, I am not sure what to say but wow I am sorry for ya, and all the others... I think I'll spend a little more and go elsewhere, the discount guyz seem to not have it together at all. I SERIOUSLY hope they start the billing periods from when your actual server is running , not when it just says its running in their cp... lol. I guess my local gas company (vectren, u SUCK) is not the only one in the business of BS'ing customers .....

so , in theory someone could set up a webpage giving the URL to their secure dedicated sanctuary server and have lingor, takistan and cherno map all playing Dayz?.. no ghosting, no d/cing...???? AND they run battleeye!!! I don't understand why anyone is still playing the hive version (unless they like to exploit)... If the Dayz team doesn't seem to care (or are unable to do anything ) about these servers then I think I might have to check this out.... seems like the solution to ALOT of the problems.... Wish the admins would chime in...
