If the servers are from 1994, that must be some mean overclocking. ;) But kiddings aside, from what I understand that's due to the CBA_CO addon. It'll hopefully be fixed on the next update though.

The forums are picky over where your images are hosted. You'll have to dump the images in something like imgur in order for it to show up properly.

From what I've heard, it's also based on a 6-hour server life, meaning that the crash sites will randomly spawn over the course of these 6 hours. This also means that any servers that restart more frequently than 6 hours won't have a whole lot of crash sites to loot. :/

Personally, I would totally buy from the store if it had hatchet guns, empty whiskey bottles, mini-ATVs that would flip over every 2 feet, glass car models, survivor figurines stuck inside a building.....ya know, things you would expect from a DayZ store.

You seem to be confusing your ban with a global ban. Just go play on a different server. Private server bans shouldn't affect your ability to go to other private servers (unless of course they put you in one of the community ban list that is).

Not exactly rare, but they did make it so that anything higher than a 12 slot backpack (Assault Pack or Czech vest pouch) spawns in military buildings and deer stands (or at least as far as I can tell). It's not that bad though, it just makes the supermarkets less of a hotspot for backpacks and switches the focus to deer stands (they seem to be my primary source of a decent backpack now).

It's impossible to know. I've been able to chop wood from just 4 clusters of trees, while a thick pine tree forest like the one you've mentioned would give me the same forest error over and over. Maybe the game has a mother earth AI built-in keeping players from chopping up all her green forests?

The funny thing is....I believe there were quite a number of times where I'd find a pig in the middle of hunting a rabbit.

It happens more often on full servers, especially new map servers. I was lucky enough to beeline the hell out of the spawn areas myself, but I'm currently stuck on the prison island and I haven't been able to leave due to the server always being full. :/ So with that in mind, I think I'll just wait for the developers to release the server-side files, so I can just play them at BMRF.

Not to jump on the praise-fest, but I'll be jumping on the praise-fest. I recently started DayZ again and went through a number of private servers. BMRF was practically my last hope and luckily it paid off. It's been a month or so since I've joined and they definitely have a well equipped staff that enforces their rules strictly and fairly. I've seen these guys work with the community quite a number of occasions and have yet to see an unjustified ban (and even if it was some were repealed after some sincere words from the guilty party). Their IRC channel is a great one-stop source of support I haven't seen anywhere else and it works rather well in delivering what players may need in a fair amount of time. Oh, and I myself primarily play on their Server #2 since I like how the forced first person camera completely changes the gameplay and has single-handedly renewed my interest in the Chernaraus map again. Not to mention there is a good community base there, if not quite a bit on the pvp side. Also, I'd like to note all BMRF servers currently do not have waypoints of any sort. I'm sure a lot of people will like to know that. And lastly.....HI RAVENFOUL.

Hah, that first condition might have been a problem a couple of months ago when private hive servers were first starting out, but much have changed since your absence. ;) In any case, there are plenty of well populated private hive communities that are well fairly administrated out there. However, it's strongly suggested that you try a whitelisted communities to greatly lessen your script kiddies experiences. You can find quite a few of them in the private hive forum, but just to name a few; balota buddies and bmrf are good choices (especially if you want the vanilla DayZ experience). Oh and as far as major changes to DayZ since before this patch.....nothing too major off the top of head.
