I downloaded Dayz commander yesterday and have been using it since. It was working great till this evening when I opened it up. No servers appear in the window when I refresh yet is says it finds like 2000+ servers up top. The only time I can see any servers now is when I click on the recent tab. And no, its not cause I am filtering it wrong. I didnt change any filter settings from when it worked fine, And yes, I have un-installed and re-installed and it still doing the same thing. Just curious if anyone else has encountered this problem, knows of a fix.

Which is best? MK48, FN Fal, M4A1 CCO SD, or M16A4 ACOG?

I have experience with every single weapon in Dayz and by far and away, the M16 ACOG is my favorite. Effective range up to 800m and even better at closer ranges. For extremely close ranges, has anyone ever heard of a sidearm? There is a reason that you have a pistol in Dayz... Plus, for zeds, just throw in some SD magazines and everything is gravy. I am willing to trade an AS50, or an L85A2 AWS for an M16 ACOG. If anyone has one that they would like to trade, PM me. -
Miss the M16 Acog, willing to trade the (rarest?) weapon in the game for it.

Am I the only one who is starting to get worried about the fact that Dayz will not be a DLC/Mod for ArmA 3, but rather a standalone product. The preview videos for ArmA 3 look very sexy. I understand that Rocket will have more control on his "vision", of what Dayz is supposed to be by branching off on his own. Building a standalone will no doubt give him the reigns to tailor make mechanics of the engine to suite the needs of the game, however, this will take much time and resources (money) to do. One of which I am afraid of the availability of (I'll let you guess which). I guess what I am getting to is, will Dayz feature ArmA 3's engine, repackaged as a standalone product? Or will it be a completely new game/engine; what I fear.

So what your saying is, ArmA, a game developed by an entire seasoned studio (at this point), is not capable of achieving a higher fidelity product/environment, than a game created by a single entity? I just hope that the proper means go into creating a full fledged Dayz game, as it were. What I don't want to see, is a half-ass developed game, with hardly any production value, riding on the pedigree of a spectacular mod. It just seems that it would be advantageous for Rocket to use Bohemia's resources in order to realistically put something out to his fan base reliably.

Killed upon logging in and then put in debug planes

I logged in and the first thing that popped up was a message saying that I was killed. I immediately left the server and joined a new one and when I did, I had all my gear (thank god) but was teleported waaaaaay back to the beach. Anyone else had this bug. This is not the first time I have had it. Had it 6 times already or so. Frustrating -
Was thinking that it would be kinda cool if you could place trail cameras out that would snap a pic if a player was in its FOV. You could place the cameras at your campsite and, if it got raided, could review the pictures to see when, and who (if the server alloud name tags) raided it. I know it would be more of a "fun" item then really practicle, but it would add in an extra little layer of detail. Thoughts?

Well, upon spawning in, it put me in Kamenka. Low and behold right infront of me was a UAZ. Just sitting on the railroad tracks. Naturally I did a quick look around and jumped in the baby and took off. Everything was green and had a full tank of gas. Drove a few kilometers into the woods untill I felt safe and then decided to have a look and see if there was any gear in the thing. Had a L85A2 AWS, 50cal, ammo for both, nv goggles and a range finder. Probably all smuggled goods (hacked). But I'll take what I can get -

Did they alter how fast you get cold recently? I used to be able to play all through the night and wouldnt start getting cold untill morning-ish. Now, as soon as the sun goes down, I get cold; real cold. Too easy to get cold and sick now IMO. Not like we have the option of putting on a jacket or anything to stay warm.. Except of course a heat pack, but, seems gimicky to always need one on yourself..

Just had to take off my bino's as they defaulted in the nvg slot with bino's equiped. Then B as usual. TY everyone. Rollinio, I'll think about it :)

So from what I understand, there is a finite amount of vehicles on a server, and unless they are blown up, they will be only where someone had left one/at its spawn? The problem I see with this being that once all vehicles are found they will be hoarded and kept very hidden and unless you were one of the first people on a server, you dont stand a very good chance on ever seeing a vehicle. Thoughts?

What are y'all thoughts on starting the game with a super weak weapon such as a slingshot? Ammo would be able to be gathered almost anywhere and it would make for some lol's without complicating things too much. The weapon would be very weak of course but still would give you a random chance of knocking another player/zombie unconscious for a short while while you could loot his pack/bail. Another topic on this level would be adding tranquilizer darts/guns to the game. Allowing bandits to have a somewhat "nicer" alternative to just outright killing players. Have to say that I love the game in its present state but would also like to see a new small level of choice added (knocking out/robbing blind instead of Killing/having to restart completely).

Yes, that is more the point that I am trying to make None taken, just trying to brainstorm a new layer of game mechanics.

I think you all are missing the point I am trying to make.. The slingshot would not be able to kill anyone. Just give a 40% chance to knock a player out and a 70% chance to knock a zombie out. To the same effect IRL if I were to grab a large stick and 'Babe Ruth' it, to the back of your skull. Just a little layer of detail/game play option.

No, thank you for working hard at improving this game :) Pretty cool when you can get help from the actual app dev. Ill try deleting my directory. Edit: Deleting the directory in my appdata worked. Working smooth as ever again. Thanks! -

Screens as per requested As you can see, thats what it pulls up with zero filtering selected. When I go to the recents tab, I can see everything like it used to appear. -

Seems to be glitchy. With no filters set it finds 124 servers outta 2000+ and doesn't display the amount of people in them and latency is 10000... Oh well. -
Is it ever sunny in this game? Seems like it is always cloudy/raining. Would be nice to see some blue skies every once in awhile. Is the weather generator even accessible by the mod? Or is that stuff all generated by the ARMA engine?

Did the most recent patch cause anyone else to have terrible framerates? Before this patch I would average probably 40fps or so, now it runs 10fps or so.

Patch 95168 framerate issues

Well, after joining a server running 95208, not 95168, the issues have appeared to stop :) On a side note, I didnt know that it was even possible to play on a server running a previous version than the one you have.
