ArmA 2 OA has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Trevor Graham posted a topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
"ArmA 2 OA has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." This is the error message I get whenever I try to join a server. Half way through the loading process, before the game even opens on my computer, it stops and an error pops up. I've searched all over this forum, read a bunch of tutorials and fixes, but nothing has worked so far. Please note that the actual game does not even open yet. Six launcher is already installed, and all the updates are installed as well. Whenever I click join, that little box with the check marks loads about three quarters of the way and then I get the error message above. Any feedback would be appreciated, but do not link me to another thread. As I have said earlier, I've tried every fix listed on this website. Edit: Here is an example of what is happening: http://i.imgur.com/bb0DI.png -
ArmA 2 OA has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I've tried this about a hundred times now. The problem is that whenever I try to run a patch, regardless of what patch it is, the game crashes before it even fully opens. At first, it was telling me battleye was the cause, but now it's telling me that the arma2oa.exe executable is the problem. I've also tried reinstalling and running DayZ about three times now and nothing has changed. -
Updating Beta Patch Fix
Trevor Graham replied to Jean Jacques Serrault's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Everytime I try to update my game with a new patch, my game seems to crash whenever I try to open it. This is the error message I get whenever I try to open it. "Faulting application arma2oa.exe, version 1.62.95.248, faulting module arma2oa.exe, version 1.62.95.248, fault address 0x0059767b." Now, I've tried numerous different patches, I've tried reinstalling my game and patching it again. My game was bought off of steam, and I'm using the patches which directly update the game by itself. There seems to be no problems installing it, as all the files are in the correct spot. I've followed this guide three times now, and it just won't start. Here's the link to my troubleshooting problem for more info: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/39434-arma-2-oa-has-encountered-a-problem-and-needs-to-close/ -

I'm having a completely different problem and I'm simply posting here because everyone seems to be active on this thread and I'd really appreciate some assistance with this problem. Here is the actual thread that I've made regarding it: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/39434-arma-2-oa-has-encountered-a-problem-and-needs-to-close/ Whenever I try to run the patches, the beta patch crashes to the desktop before the loading bar is complete. However, if I try to run the original arma2oa.exe file, the game remains at version 1.60 and won't bump up to the 1.62 patch that I've installed. It's very strange, and I'd really appreciate some help here.

" Arma 2 Reinforcements Has Stopped Working "
Trevor Graham replied to entryfive's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
The reason this was happening to me was because I had the incorrect version of Battleye. I was running the 1.60 version of the game at the time, using a 1.62+ version of Battleye. All I needed to do was downgrade Battleye. This anti-cheat program causes a lot of problems regarding the patches. You might want to bookmark this page. ArmA 2 OA has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Trevor Graham replied to Trevor Graham's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Well, this is the error I get from my Event Viewer. "Faulting application arma2oa.exe, version 1.60.87.580, faulting module beclient.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00003dd5." The game is fine up until I try to update it to the next version. It makes my game crash upon starting whenever I try to use the beta patch executable. I can still run the game fine, but it leaves my game at version 1.60.87.580, making me unable to join any DayZ servers. -

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. I've been trying to fix this problem for over three days now, and it's not working. I tried reinstalling the game repeatedly and countlessly attempting to fix this problem. Someone post a damn fix. I highly doubt nobody knows what is wrong. -

Arma 2 oa has stopped working - crash to desktop: FIXED!!
Trevor Graham replied to liamcz@hotmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Whenever I try to run the patch file, I always get an error message saying this, "ArmA 2 OA has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." If I try to run the normal game instead of the patch file, the game works. The only problem is that it's not updated. I made a thread about it with a picture provided here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/39434-arma-2-oa-has-encountered-a-problem-and-needs-to-close/ Any help would be appreciated. -
