Not telling tales. Telling what EXACTLY happened. Stop thinking you know everything. This game is bugged to hell and back. if multiple people are reporting a bug then its probably a bug NO MATTER WHAT THE GAME MECHANICS STATE.

This + my comp stomps the requirements into the ground. I can play Metro 2033, Skyrim, TSW, etc etc etc. on Ultra and this game tears all over the damn place. And using FLUSH... good way to ruin your video card... keep doing it over and over see what happens.

I got knocked out from 1 hit at FULL 12000 blood and never woke up... zombie ate me alive while I waited for 4+ minutes with that stupid hourglass... from 12000 to 0 from 1 hit. So yea it's possible. But to teh OP... I lost a lot of really good gear and i did not DC and have a clan member come to my rescue. I took my death like man. DEAL WITH IT!

They actually can keep up with cars and the lot. So that was not a troll post. Of course it is funny to watch they fly across the world when you run into them at speed, but they are crazy fast. Not saying it's hard to lose them while running, and they cannot hit you when running, but they are stupidly fast.

I started nice, turned ugly, but today I had a neat experience. Was in a building on a server with only 8 people on it. So it's obviously easy to tell if someone's around if you see zeds. Someone came into the building singing a song. "I'm friendly, I'm friendly, Zombies ate my family, I'm firendly, I'm firendly, please don't shoot me" Now I've had a guy yelling nooo don;t shoot I''m un-armed and friendly, while standing over some'ones corpse they just killed, but this guy was different. I had nice weapon Silenced M4 with scope and was watching him come up the stairs with my red dot on his head. When I heard teh song... I stopped... used in game voice and calmly told the guy if he wanted to live to leave the building... he backed away singing another song. "I'm friendly, I'm friendly, you scared the crap out of me, I'm friendly, I'm friendly, please don't shoot me" I let him live. He had good gear from what I could see. Ghuile suit Coyote backpack, sniper rifle in hands, but he backed off to live another DayZ Day. I could have killed him just for his beans, but it actually felt good to let him leave peacefully. Also had a funny incident in Cherno market. I was inside looting, had NO weapon at all and in runs someone yelling "friendly, don't shoot" so I responded, "I won;t shoot you, I'm friendly also" of course as stated above I had no weapon to shoot with, but he just ran past me with a weapon in his hands and didn't shoot me. So I'm reconsidering the "friendly aspect" of the game. I no longer practice a strict KOS policy due to the events of two successive days of encountering other friendlies.

Well slower than cars would be a start. They can keep up with cars... is there an actual limit to how fast they can run?

The OP sums up hacking and scripting very nicely, the root causes and potential fixes, while others express the complete lack of empathy on these forums (that has resulted primarily from the amount of hacker posts). Beans to ALL!!

Update: For those that continue to have this problem. Go Here ... http://battleye.com/download.html And Manually update your Battle Eye dll files. Fixes the issue without any hardships as all you do is download 2 .dll files and replace the exiting files.

Got a "Missing String" error when I tried to re-install Battle Eye after getting this error. I have no clue what "string" is missing. I run no scripts or any of that crap. I was playing fine and doing nothing special. I was in the deep woods when BAM!. Error #55.... So how can I fix this? I can get on some servers, but not my normal server.

Blaota is not a cash cow like everyone says it is. However, as a fresh spawn with literally nothing to lose I head there, if I spawn near it. Just know that I have been there just after a server restart and made a slow approach, spawned the zeds myself (and the loot supposedly) and got Jack and shit inside. Lots of tin cans and lots of ammo for no guns... so it's not perfect, but it can be worth the risk. Of course with you posting this thread and so many people saying they go there... I'd consider Balota a snipers camp ground for a while. Ya'll (and moi) just advertised how popular the site is, and there is little fear of being shot back, so cowards will camp it so they can shoot unarmed noobs headed there with no fear of being shot at themselves.

Hacking is NOT cool. Since their running scripts their not even hackers, they are lame cheating morons. Stop glorifying their actions.

Same thing happened to me today. I was crawling and got spotted, tried to stand, momentary delay in animation, was hit once while at FULL 12000 and knocked the fuck out. Never came to. sat there for 5 minutes watching a zombie slowly eat me alive. 1 hit dead. sucked hard and I was way far away from the coast and by the time I made it back to my body... nothing but flies.

Actually your case is no big deal. I got knocked out by a zed @12000 (FULL) in 1 hit and never regained consciousness... 1 zed ate me alive in one hit. I lost some nice stuff because it saw me while crawling and it took that agonizing moment to stand up. That delay in standing got me hit ONCE, and that was all she wrote.

I'm not server hopping. This was all on the same server and I approached the barns slowly... waited for zeds to spawn so I know loot would spawn... and still got nothing but wood.

Same issue. I went into 3 HIGH Value barns today and found ... wood... nothing but wood. The 4th HV Barn had 4 hatchets... and more wood. The 5th Barn had a DB Shotgun with 1 clip. and infinite zombie spawn... I died. 6th Barn (notice a trend here) more wood. Tins can this time... weee. I was low health with a DMR... got eaten by the infinite re-spawn of zombies that saw me through the wall... then kept coming... over and over... in the woods... no other buildings... used 60 rounds of ammo and still died. I'm staying away from Barns until 1.7.2.5

Had this happen with an M24... and I made sure I had 12 slots open in my bag for my 2 clips of ammo... still ate teh ammo and I had two empty slots left in teh bag... I HATE the inventory bugs. Worst inventory system in any game I;ve ever played. And I played Coleco and Atari and had a Commodor 64 as a kid.

for my first 2 weeks of play I did not KOS, and was therefore killed for not shooting first. Now I KOS. I even had a guy yelling over chat ... nooo... I'm friendly... don;t shoot.. I'm unarmed... After I killed him I did not get a murder... I was like wtf? then ran up to his dead body... he was standing over a guy he just killed. TRUST NO-ONE!

My vieo has been at default since the first day I played, but I am now experiencing artifacts worse than ever aroud military bodies. It was so terrible I could nto see anything and could not even tell what direction to go to get away from the dead bodies. I died from zombies... because I could never find a clear direction to face. My video memory is default and always has been. SO that is not a permanent fix.

Last night 3 of my clan members were all on US 104 along with 12 other people. Of those 12, 6 were Danny/Donny G. clan and 6 were all of another clan. 15 people on the server and ALL had clan tags. My Clan was running around the NE airstrip and Greenshift heard a gun shot in the distance. We ran into the control tower and secured positions. Redshift stayed down stairs watching the closed doors while Green and blue(moi) went up to the tower. I took a position to watch the outside ladder while green looted the building. While Greenshift was looting a person wearing a skin I've never seen in game before (Like a Nija suit... i twas odd) "appeared" simultaneously shooting 2 shots. Those 2 shots killed Green and myself (Blueshift instantly. Redshift, who was still watching teh closed doors, was confused because he never heard shots and the doors downstairs never opened. Greenshift quits the server in a rage because an invisible just killed us, and Redshift aborts to the lobby to see who is on the server. I sat looking at my screen for a bit rather frustrated, as Redshift said the only people on the server were the same clan people who started. This is when things turn ugly. Redshift tries to leave the server and has issues. When he finally does get off the server he can no longer see any servers in the lobby. None, Nothing. He cannot close Arma and has to Cntrl+alt+del to get out. When I heard this I tried backing out as well, but I cannot abort, respawn, disconnect or anything. I cannot do anything, so I am forced to cntrl+alt+del as well. Both of us try to restart the game. Redshift's computer is slow and Arma takes minutes to respond and finally he can get into the online lobby where no servers appear. me I cannot even get that far. My computer is also extremely slow, and i cannot even get that far. It gets to Receiving... and no further. We both "End Task" on Arma 2 and restart Steam. We both continue to have the same issues as above (mine not loading up his being slow and not showing servers.) I decide to restart my computer. This is where all hell breaks loose. I perform a shutdown, fully shutdown, and the power back on. Upon windows opening a CMD prompt appears and flashes quickly and then windows restarts itself. Then goes into a loop of restarting until it finally comes up with teh repair option (Win 7 64) My Repair option states that my windows cannot be repaired. I can no longer get into windows on my computer. It has been corrupted and Repair does not work. Redshift was more fortunate, but he still could not use Arma2 and ran a validation and found Arma2 to be corrupted. The conclusion is a Hacker (obviously there was one) was able to backdoor through a hole in Arma to attack our computers. Yet the only people in the lobby were the same 6 clan members. That doe snot mean it was them, but it makes them (or the Admin) look bad. All I can say is... I will not install this game back onto my computer after I secure erase and reformat. For the rest of you out there, your taking a serious risk continuing to play this poorly designed game (not Rocket;s fault) if this kind of thing can occur. I truly hope none of you encounter this, but you need to be aware that it is possible. Discuss all you want, Praise Rocket all you want, I'm off ad not going to read these forums any longer. I wasted money on this game to have my computer ruined and new I have to use my limited bandwidth (monthly cap) to re download my steam games and windows patches etc. etc. this is costing me money because of a poorly designed game with security risks. Oh and if you say it was my fault... my OLD (changed immediately) password for my router... never accessed through the New computer that was ruined was !qZ@wX#ec$rV not very easy to hack hmmm.... this attack had to be through the Arma game.

had the same issue with US 232, and they have not been online very much since that happened. We stole a Jeep from a massive camp and within moments the server restarts. Since then it has been up only sporadically and LOCKED when it is up.
