Survival RPG game? Nope. KOS FPS game. YES. Why do people even pretend this is anything but an FPS shooter... with the minor nuisance of zombies thrown in. All zombies do is make it easier top know if another player is nearby. Oh look zombies spwaned up ahead and we're too far away to spawn them. Someone must be there, lets camp them. Rinse and repeat.

RPG elements in DAyZ. Well atm there is none. Nobody plays this as a survival game. It's all about player killing. I was on a server and people were boasting their -90K humanity in side channel. There is no RPG in DayZ. It is KOS or be KOS'd even if that means shooting players on the beach. I've been shot MANY times spawning on the beach on many different servers.

SO I can be banned for finding a weapon on another player. My clan mate also got banned and he did NOT have a PDW SD on him.

I found this gun on a sniper who had ab M4 CCO SD as well. Running on a different server (due to extreme lag on my normal one) I got Banned by the admin for having it. is it a hacked weapon? And can you get banned for using a weapon that you picked up off another player? US 1461 is the server if the ban is not legit.

Really? Would you let me shoot you center mass with my AR15 (M16) .223 or .308? I guaranty it will kill you with 1 shot... I'm not taking about shooting you in the intestines, I'm taking about my military training shooting you in the upper chest. Besides in a world without doctors.. an intestinal shot would most likely be fatal... just very slowly. Bandaging internal bleeding doesn't do much. What is messed up is that most weapons in this game DON'T kill with 1 hit. Is everyone wearing body armor? Body Armor should actually be rare not the Barret 50 cal. And Zombies should only be brought down with head shots. Every Walmart has AR15s Every Academy Sports has them as well. A zombie acopc in America... well guns and ammo would NOT be scarce. .308s can kill you one shot center mass. Can people survive center mass hits. Yes they can. Many people do, because of great doctors. People survive HEADSHOTS because of great doctors. Look a Sen Giffords... amazing. But we're talking about apoc, and there are no doctors and no hospitals staffed with trauma teams. Bandaging should not "heal" internal bleeding. Infection should be way more common from ANY wound.

Not really. It's just another QQ thread, but this ones in disguise. It's another I got killed by hackers, but instead of saying it outright I'll try to insult them thread. In the end all it is is another one of the thousands of QQ threads about hack/scripting on these forums. All this type of thread does is feed the script kiddes your sorrows and tears. That is exactly why many do what they do. Your post probably gives them great joy and laughter because it IS another QQ thread.

I like how apathetic the first response is. Hack/Scripting is so rampant people do not even care when you show proof. If you don't show proof then you're a liar, but when you do they don't care because they don't want to see it. It could be them you caught on video and they're afraid read the thread. If you buy Combined Operations to play DayZ and then HATE DAyZ... the majority of fanbois on this forum will flame you for buying ArmaCO just to play DAyZ. Use the search function and look it up. You'll see I'm right. They'll tell you it's a great game and sure buy it, but if you dislike it they'll tell you you're as ass for buying it "just for DayZ" and It's your fault you moron. It's a wonderful community of hatred and loathing. i think many are sociopaths. Smile ot your face when they meet you and stab you in the back when you turn around or show any sign of weakness. However, if you don't mind losing $30 to TEST a BETA (1.7.2.5 is listed as a BETA) then sure try it out. If you don't mind crawling for hours (seriously) then try it out. If you don't mind getting bored with killing zombies because they are pathetique, and are forced into PvP with hackers, then buy it. I have tried Amra2 when thoroughly bored with DayZ and hate Arma2 and CO. Despite all of that.... I still play DayZ. Why you ask? I'm glad you asked. I still play DayZ because I play it with friends and we find things to do to amuse ourselves. It's sometimes hard to find something to do, and often we all log off after 30-60 minutes later having accomplished nothing, but I would not still be playing if my friends were not on with me. Going solo... you must be a masochist. (or a Skiddie) Edit: they changed the patch to Alpha on the main page. The first day it actually said Beta for a bit. But feel free to flame on. It will only prove how bad the forums/community are.

Firstly, I'm not an idiot. Secondly, I was complaing about the graphical bug in multiple posts in multiple threads. I was also DEFENDING people from the mororns that ran around saying "I have no issues you suck" or "Video memory to default and it will fix it". Those did not resolve the issues for me and many people and I addressed that. Need I go on? SO no I was not wandering around in the woods looking at trees. I went to Green Mountain and NW Airfield. No issues at either place when both were unplayable for me previously. Previous graphics for me. I DID change my cfg file back to 300,000 from 100,000, which I set it to previously to try and fix the unfixable problem.

Version 1.7.2.5 Beta Patch Serverside 95417 Beta Patch Client side 95660 Graphical Issue fixed. Previously unplayable, now no issues. I messed with graphic settings and still no issue. Obj Detail low, normal, Very High... no issues. HDR VH... no issues Textures VH... no issues I will test the newest beta [atch and a server running the newest beta patch to see if the glitch returns. US 884, {Name deleted by NotYou culprit found in server logs} gets kicked for this violation. 2 minutes later he rejoins the server, and an invisible person starts firing some LMG at us almost immediately after [He] rejoined the server. Necio please look into this. 5:56pm CST. I would be wary of any person getting kicked for this violation. Edit: we were literally off the map in the middle of nowhere. 2nd Edit: The Hacker, was not the one kicked for the script violation.

You don't need a HIGH end keyboaard. All you need is a Sidewinder X4 MS keyboard. It allows you to program any combination of keystrokes. That is how I ALt + F4 when I'm stuck in a really nasty combat situation on the beach and some maniac has an axe and is running in zig zags so I can't shoot him with my AS50.

They don;t have to design a new engine from teh ground up. They already stated they standalone is based on the Arma3 engine, but will be a seperate game (i.e. standalone) from Arma3. Since Arma3 is coming soon, DayZ is sure to follow just as quickly. I for 1 agree with the OP, and I also think that ATM DayZ is taking a hit. Sure 4000 new players a day.... whatever. How many continue playing once they get hacked over and over in their first few days... how many are still playing when they run into the dread graphic glitch over and over... how many continue to play when they pick up something from the ground and they lose their weapon or ammo or stuff disappears in their backpack. Just because people DL the game does NOT mean 1,000,000 people are actively playing the Mod. I guaranty many have left without a word, and the few who leave a notice to why they are leaving a game(sorry, ALPHA MOD MORON) they wanted to work get flamed to hell and back.
