A few months back I used to find them a few times in 2-3 hours of gameplay. Now it seems they became more rare? I still find them here and then but not as often as before.

Players that helped me and will never kill on sight: 1) DukeRottingFace - Trustworthy Medic, rolled together with him, and he helped me gear up. Great person. Will stick more often with him. 2) Cody_Lundin - He's running around unarmed with a Hero skin. Helping others, helped me in Elektro, gave me some gear, a really good guy. 3) William_Muny - Randomly met him in Balota while I was still a noob. Patched me up, gave me blood & gear. 100% trustworthy friendly hero. Rescued Players I can vouch for: 1) Resoula - Made my way across the map to help him & ended up playing together for 5 hours, gearing up together. Great trustworthy player. 2) Coke Up - Asked for help on steam, broken leg, I provided him with morphine. Didn't shoot me in the back, trustworthy player. 3) Unroge24 - Patched him up, gave him basic weapons, tools & some of my medic supplies. Was very grateful. Trustworthy guy. 4) Blynx - Fellow Medic, needed a blood transfusion in the north west hospital in Cherno. A cool guy and 100% trustworthy. 5) PepeLNava - Needed a full treatment. Fixed him up and gave him some gear. Didn't shoot me in the back, a good and grateful guy. Trustworthy. 6) seizethedayz - Fell of the hospital roof in Berezino. Full treatment. Gave me a blood transfusion in return. 100% trustworthy! - Important Note - The Rescued Players list is exclusively for other Medics to rely on. Those players did not kill me on sight or shot me in the back after being rescued, nor would they do it to any other medic. This list is for other Medics mainly, to let them know that they are headed to rescue someone who will not kill them in return. As for the behavior of those players to other non Medic players, this list can't guarantee that you will not be shot on sight. Keep in mind that Medics are neutral folks.

Sometimes you can hear an AS50 or M107 in the far distance, and by the time you think oh shit a sniper is up that hill side, the bullet arrives and gives the wall behind you a sloppy red paint.

I am defending no one. I didn't say he is a military expert nor do I know if he actually is. Just yesterday two guys passed me on the atv in ghilie suits and with machine guns. I was like hey I'm friendly and they stopped for a second and looked at me, then they continued. They went into Rog castle with the atv through the tower entrance and just disappeared inside. I was like wtf. Then after a few minutes they returned. I opened fire together with 2 of my mates that connected in meantime. We pretty much emptied everything we had on them. M107 mag, whole Lee Enfield mag, M4 CCO SD mag. They were just there sitting on the atv until the driver went off and raped us with his SAW. Just 5min later after I spawned near Electro, I start running straight back to Rog. Its almost night and I freak the fuck out in the forest when I hear a voice behind me telling me "Hey you drop your weapon". I was like yo man I don't got a weapon come closer and see. The guy came and was Russian. He said "Me good, Me help you". I asked if he had a can of beans and a soda. He started spawning snipers, machine guns and just everything on the ground in front of me, then said Me good Me help you, Bye Bye. I couldn't believe this shit lol. I admit I took the Ghillie, M4 CCO SD, M107, all the tools and GPS&Rangefinders&Nightvision. Killed by a hacker, geared up just after respawn by another one. That is hilarious. Who ever you were Russian boy, thank you much :D

Open Arma 2 without DayZ mod. Go to the editor and choose Chernarus for the map. Place a spawn point for you. Then hit "try scenario". Voila

Depends on how the standalone is gonna be. If they fuck it up in some horrible way (God Forbid) I will stick rather to this bug and glitch fest. Besides. You can then have a bad character to just kill people on this mod here and play your normal thing on the standalone. But what I really believe is that after the standalone there wont be much servers left here, because of everyone moving to the standalone. Almost no one will continue to play this, well not much at least.

A bandit says he is friendly and needs your help. You 2 meet. He places a 50. cal between your eyes, takes your vehicle and says thanks. That is basically the whole scenario.

If I see you laying in the grass overlooking Elektro or Cherno I will shoot you as I would think you are bandit scum sniping survivors in the town. I would still shoot you on sight anywhere if I see you all geared up with AS50's, M4 CCO SD's and Ghilies. There should be a concept made, that allows more skins. Imagine getting a police skin once you pass 20K+ humanity for instance. That would be cool wouldn't it? But with the current concept its hard to try to make a police force as no one knows who is who in this game. I am counter-sniping bandits from the opposite hill in Elektro. I take down 2 snipers on the "Sniper Hill" there. Just to see a guy emptying his makarov in my ass, saying "I got you bandit scum, you're lame sniping survivors in the town" on the VoiP. He didn't know I actually saved his stupid ass. I also see some other Police experiments wannabe clans and saw some youtube footage lately. Those guys didn't even ask anyone if they are friendly or not, they were just telling to eachother if you see someone with an assault rifle or sniper shoot first ask questions later. Or were talking a bout killing unarmed survivors the second they get hands on a gun. Anyways, good luck with the project. Peace.

YES, but also watch out for this area: http://dayzdb.com/map#6.057.125 Is the sniper hill around Stary Sobor the little forest directly north of the military camp? All the hills around Stary Sobor are sniper hills. You can get sniped from any side. I don't even know which hill is sniper hill for NWAF. Goes same as for Stary Sobor, you can get sniped from anywhere. Is the sniper hill around NEAF the forest of Olsha? Yes, but you can also get sniped from Ostry hill: http://dayzdb.com/map#6.114.024 Stary Sobor and the NWAF are not called PvP areas for no reason. You can get shot at from all sides and are much exposed. If going there, always presume you are being in a sniper crosshair all the time and move like so. Sneak, prone, crouch. Even if you don't see zombies in Stary or NWAF, that doesn't mean that a sniper is not overlooking the whole area 500m away in some bush.

You do realize that your tents are just gonna be raided, flattened or blown up. I personally checked some locations I was near and either they were flattened or no tents at all. This idea is hard to be realized. Peace.

Well I be damned. Thanks for the info. But then I've must have been glitched or something. As when I changed my profile I spawned on the coast without gear. And that was way before the common know spawn glitch appeared so I thought its profile related. Weird.

In the ArmA 2 main menu, go to profiles, click on your profile and choose edit. There you can change the name. BUT if yo are using the default profile you won't be able to change the name. You have to make another custom profile and there you can choose the name, but that means you will start fresh on the coast with a new profile. Peace

The whole game story and concept is made around the infected or as you call them, zombies.. DayZ ain't the first one on this idea but its pretty clear that after DayZ got that much popular, other developer teams started throwing out a shit load of zombie games. Take for example the WarZ, a totally crap rip off of DayZ. But zeds are what makes this game.. well what it is. So No. And gtfo with vampires, serious?

3-4 shots to the rotor assembly, sometimes even less. Its just having luck as how the game registers the shots at that time. Sometimes the shot has to be mm precisely, sometimes not. Its just a bugy alpha.
