It is just like that, that people enter clans/groups that gear them up pretty fast. Even they just started playing DayZ. This leads to shit snipers, spraying with the DMR instead of calculating distance. 90% of the snipers in DayZ are shit, and us a DMR because they can spray with it, due to its semi-auto operating mode. And 95% of all the snipers in this game don't know the difference between 1x and 2x zoom into the scope. Mildot values are not the same.

Just 2 hours ago me and a mate find one, we run through the forests north of cherno on a 4people server, and its night. I turn around to see if my partner follows up when suddenly a guy appears in the distant tree line (i had nvgs so saw him). I am like wtf theres a guy and he opens fire. I kill him. Then moments later we.. well better i dont tell.. stay away from the dew LOL

I am mostly of the time rolling together with a Medic, to guard and assist him. I don't necessary have much medic supplies on me therefor. But I go for a run to help out people myself if they need it and I am online at that time. Atm I have 1 blood bag, 2 morphine injectors (I believe), bandages & some epi-pens. I am atm north east of Stary Sobor. Add me on steam and provide me with intel on your location and I can come help out. I probably end up being a Medic AND Guard at the same time. And I love it. When we all started we just kept sneaking past zombies but there's a much more effective way. Since you live of the farm land and smaller towns, I guess there are a lot of barns there. Just run through the zombies and enter a barn that has 2 exits. You can loot the barn (and any other house that has a front and back door) and escape through the back door until the zombies reach you. Since you are knew to the game you should know that zombies can only walk in buildings. I just run through cities with a train of 20 zombies chasing me, I enter a building loot it and exit through the back door while they slowly walk in it. Its the easiest way to loose zombies. Get yourself an Hatchet, Matches, Hunting knife and you are good to go. Slay animals with the hatchet, gut them with the hunting knife, go into the woods stand next to a tree and get wood from it with your hatched (right click on your hatchet in your gear inventory and choose "harvest wood") then make a fire place (right click on your wood in the inventory and choose "create fire place") and you can cook the meat and regain blood very fast. If you find a water bottle you can refill it at ponds and wells. Its how I used to live in my first DayZ week. Only real challenge are to find matches, the other is common stuff to loot. In supermarkets you'll find maps more then anywhere else. I hope the info helped at least a little. Peace

The 50. cal's should be nerfed in a way it won't loose its 1 shot 1 kill manner, because in real life you'd die to a 50. cal bullet no matter where it hits you, other then in your fingers or toes. It tears apart limbs. I'd nerf them in the following way: 1) Make running with a fifty cal on your back way slower and disable unlimited running + increase the drop on the water bar. 2) Make them inaccurate while fired from a standing or crouching position. Only prone (with bipods) should be the way this rifle is fired. Seriously no one could fire this heavy ass sniper from a standing or crouching position while hitting a target at 500m+ distance. Simple as that.

Those guys acting all Hero like with "omg you alt f4'ed. Its still an exploit blabla" would probably be the first to do so if they fall with a broken leg and 1k blood due to a door, fence, wall... In this mod anything can kill you. Hell you ain't even safe from the trees while making a fireplace in the woods. Give the dude a brake. He asked for help, not for the troll train. Duh..

1. You must be a noob. 2. No sniper rifle kills someone INSTANTLY if he is being shot in the leg, unless you are using a 50. cal. 3. You shot him in the leg, says enough about your sniper skill. 4. M24 is bolt action and 30% more accurate then the DMR. 5. Most of DMR users are shit snipers and tend to spray instead of waiting and calculating a clean one shot kill, due to its semi-auto operating mode. 6. A sniper rifle is never "shit" or "bad". The weapon is as good as its operator. Last but not least, go back to using a makarov instead of a sniper rifle. Peace.

I know that the OP wanted to say. We had good support till now and the dev's even talked to the folk on these forums, whereas other dev's can only be reached in your dreams or via an lawyer lol But I start getting the feeling as if DayZ mod gets pushed aside more and more, which is understandable as they are focused on the standalone. But no dev, replied in long time now, and no new update info is leaking out. The forums being slow as fuck and no one makes an official statement about it either. A lot of things changed here after the last update that lead to a suspicious conclusion that they just left us sitting here on our own. I don't say they did, but it feels like it with each new day. Artifacting? Just delete bodies out of the game. And remove barbed wire. I know its easier sometimes to try and fix stuff then removing it but do something as the artifacts are now for months present and I believe its NOT THAT OF A FUCKING COMPLICATED PROBLEM for you to not have figured it out yet how to fix. I just smell lazyness here. Idk. All seems fucked up the last 1-2 weeks or so. If you spawn in the south west part of Kamenka. Go run straight to the left (west) and further outside the map (where the rail track ends) and the tree's end. Most guys place tents there somewhere in those green blank fields behind hills. So you'll need to run along the coast to see tents if they are there. People do that because after they get killed they have a close gear up station at their spawn. :)

Running approx 50m behind them and provide suppressing fire if someone starts shooting at the medic so he can make it to safe cover. Or running first so if I get shot at he can stop and go around that particular place to evade being engaged in a firefight. It really depends on each individual situation. I can provide sniper cover while he is patching up the injured ones. Hell, I can even pick up his medic stuff and continue to the injured guy if he gets K.I.A. There are plenty of ways. Atm I lack a sniper rifle but I got all the other full gear like GPS, NVG, M16, M9SD.. and the all the tools you can find in game. I still need a Sniper rifle and range finders. Peace.

I've no clue. I see the staff posting less and less. I'm afraid they are focused on the standalone and don't care much for this forum anymore since I guess the standalone will have its own site/forum. I just hope its my imagination but I really start thinking they won't "waste" time on here anymore :huh:

Right now for me the forums are deadly slow. And if I try to open 2 pages in 2 new tabs, one opens after 2-3min of loading and the other just pops out a "the website is currently offline" screen. In the last few days the site started being slow as fuck. This needs to be fixed fast. I can go take a shit, make myself some coffee and wank off at least once before a page loads. Now I remember how it was on my 56kb modem back in the 90's... but no, wait.. that would still load faster then this shit here. Fss.. With the shit load of new players that registered in the last 3 months, I think its time to upgrade server capacity? If the site uses cloud fare then someone should point out to them that they upgrade their cloud servers or something.
