Being killed is just the usual way DayZ works. That naturally includes ambushes as well as getting sniped. If you're getting killed too often, it is more likely that you're not able to play the game in a satisfactury (from your perspective) manner. No offense, but maybe DayZ isn't the right game for you if you don't feel entertained. OT: I really don't care for your forgiveness, but I look forward to exercise the use of idioms in my posts.

Now as you said it, I really feel embarrassed (a bit, getting goosebumps you know). But the point is, why do you let yourself getting killed over and over again?

Why do you keep on making the same mistakes every time? Make a mistake 1 time, blame the others. Make the same mistake again, it is you to blame.

It is another income for the server hoster to deliver more content to the players so they stick at the game. I appreciate that in some way, I guess ... Frankly, I don't expect any community map to be as stable as Chernarus at this point of development, but I'll give it a try.

The problem is more likely that people are not realizing that bug fixing will mostly be done in the beta phase of the program. It is just normal that things are buggy in an Alpha. Why am I telling you this anyway? You probably already now so I'll quote a special wisdom for you, I've read several times over the internet: "Don't fell in love with your gear!" Imagine a world where every hater files a bug report for every rant he/she posts! Call it developer's heaven.

You didn't lose a word about the fact that it is related to a specific server when I posted. What went through my mind? I tell you: "How the fuck is he able to play as a marksman (or able to play in general) with that FPS?" My question is the result of your lack of facts in your post. You neither described your machine, nor did you say anything about the problem itself, e.g. when did it occur, does it always occur, etc. pp. Considering that I gave you the hint about a measuring failure, I bet my post wasn't so silly at all (i am honestly reflecting pal). In fact, your post was an affront to all the people who want to help you get rid of your problems, because all that fact-checking the people are doing ("What are the specs of your machine?")is just unnecessary life time consumption of the users who wanted to help you. Let me make an educated guess (please, take it as a part of my wisdom, pally): You just used your generosity to softly point out that you quitted the game. But, besides my endless gratitude to you for sharing your wisdom with the unworthy (like me), I'd like to point out that it may be just an excuse for another "I quit!" post, no matter if you told that fact the unworthy public before you've decided to share this illuminating information among our common path to the light of wisdom. Not sure if my issue is related to the topic. Point is, that my FPS drops from about 40-60 in the wilderness and small towns to about 10-25 in Cherno/Elektro. No video setting seems to have an effect on this. It gets better for about 10 minutes when I relog. While DayZ is in Alpha, and theoretically bugs and code cleanup is done in beta, I do not expect any changes in this stage. But where is the content? (just an epic trolling line) See ya around

He probably is just a troll. Ignoring that the game is in Alpha state and moaning about losing your stuff due to bugs? Come on people, I thought you were smarter. To be straight, just let's wait for his article that pops up in next weeks that discusses the above points in the same way and you're clear about it. But it won't change anything dudes.

Hi fellow survivors, yesterday I was running in the most northern part of the game. North of Gvozdno I was heading east to fill up my canteens at Pobeda Dam. So I ran in the woods for hours, feeling most time very safe as I was surrounded by trees. I got all important items to survive on my own and was pretty happy that I could circumvent the hot spots. Then there was this clearing in the forest. I could see through the valley to the next hill so I decided to take a look through my binocs. When I did that, I did not check my cover. I was standing in this clearing, visible for any person on the next hill. But I did not think about that. Just in the same moment I looked through binocs, I died. I neither heard a shot, nor did I see myself blooding when I felt down. I just died instantly. I assume it was another player, defending a camp or something, who took me down with a sniper rifle. Lesson learned: Always check your cover, be aware of the directions which a possible threat may come from. Even if you think you're alone, you are definitely not. You payed 20€ for Arma 2, which of course u can play. DayZ is a private non-profit project as far as I can see. I had about the same problem (tho I could play for days before). I spawned dead or spawned unconscious with 0.730039 (!) blood. Couldn't do anything at this time, I even couldn't access the in-game menu while I was unconscious to respawn. What helped was to chose a server with another beta version or something like that. Maybe deleting ur profile files (in ur private Documents folder) helps (but I'm not sure as your DayZ Char is bound to your Arma 2 CD-Key in fact). Good luck!

Hey, my name's Andy and I'm from Germany. Playing the game for a while now, I want to get the experience to play with another friendly. I like thinking of raiding supermarkets (if necessary) and giving cover each other etc. pp. ;) I'm 27 btw. But I request a mic (for skype or steam voip).
