Like you have the right to choose on which server you want to play on, I guess server admins have the right to choose which qualities a player needs to bring with him when he wants to play on that particular server. If you don't want to do that, you might want to consider setting up your own private hive on your home computer. You get zero ping and zero players. wise-ass info for those who do not know why latency is not the same as bandwith: imagine a URAL full of 1TB Harddisks driving from Bere to Kamenka. Assuming it carries 1000 harddrives and it needs about 15 minutes to get there, the bandwith is 1Petabyte/15minutes, while the latency is 30 minutes (driving there and back).

Looks like corrupted data. Can be anything, from broken RAM to a broken filesystem/HDD or just broken files. Try to download them again. Did you try joining different servers?

I think these are NPCs spawned by a hacker.

Software programming is a bitch. Before I begin to trust in a "totally trivial solution" which relies on speculations and fortunetelling only and obviously every dayz-playing game programmer, except for the original developers itself, knows about, I'd rather come to the conclusion that a solution ain't so easy as it looks like. Not because I mistrust the forum in the first place, but because nobody has provided a playable solution along their smartness, why they technically should be able to present one.

"I know a method to prevent cheating, it is totally simple to implement and I've tested in on 20 different client and server systems, everything works flawlessly so we can push that patch to a bigger testing group and after bugfixing releasing it to public!" So that is what you did, yes?

Again, you're ignoring the fact that Rocket and his team are, as he stated in several interviews, in full control of the engine they are modifying for the standalone. And you did not point out why Rocket and his team should not modify that engine in a way that makes today's hacking nearly impossible.

I'd rather like to know, why you think they are doing absolutely nothing against the cheaters, while they in fact could do absolutely everything to prevent cheating? I'd really like to know that theory, open my eyes, please.

They cannot be banned because it is not easy to ban these hacks/scripts due to the nature of the mod, don't you get it? You are the one ignoring facts because you're in rage, dude.About that "circulating by months" .... When looking into the well known hacking forums you'll see different versions of these hacks, some older ones have been shut down and are not usable anymore, while new ones are not. Either calm down, stop raging about the developers and wait until the standalone is released or stop spreading wrong facts in the forum. edit: ok, I see it is pointless. You better put on your tinfoil hat.

Dungeons built by Players/Clans would be AWESOME. I remember reading something about base building will be like in X-Com. But I may remember incorrectly...Speculating is fun and I'm really curious how it will be like in the standalone :)

It is also nice to know there are firefighters protecting me. But this turns out be a coal mine fire and as a miner those firefighters cannot do very much about it.Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the work and effort the devs put into BattleEye. But as I read many things about the nature of the mod and why hacking/scripting is so easy, I do not expect any great improvements in this matter. I count on the standalone version, only.

Come on.. he is obviously proud of being a dick/asshole in that particular situation, so why not calling him one for exactly that? And even if i accept that gameplay like me and others mentioned, I don't need to like it. I may be a dick in a way, too. Everybody has been (or will be) a dick at least one time. And I know that being a dick can be great fun.Maybe OP starts giving free medical services in a week or so, when being a dick becomes boring. But as you see these words as the worst insults, you should maybe just calm down and I tell you, there are hundreds of other bad, reaaallly bad words going around the world. Just because someone is being called an asshole/dick (for acting like one!), he is not a bad person in general. It's still just a game.

Talking about difference...Maybe the problem best feature of this game is that noone wants to play along assholes, but instead of accepting legal aspects of the gameplay there are alot of people complaining about it, while they should be playing a totally different game instead. This results in a lot of anger and sadness turning the gaming experience for the rest of community, which is (mostly) pleased and satisfied, into a real life soap opera comedy show. Who is not entertained, at least by the forums?
