Squeezit

Has there been some sort of change that causes me and my 2 other friends to sit on a log in screen for a good ...Long time (we've tried a few different servers now waiting about 15 minutes on each server) only a couple of servers have been able to let us in so far :/ The rest just sit there and load forever and force us to force close DayZ/Arma Then they kick us out saying something about battle eye

I hear people talk about using it on Direct channel a bit, and a random group I teamed up with was talking about using it. I don't intend to use it against other players or anything, but the last time I was on a server with hackers I thought it was a good idea to do after they teleported me and the rest of the server into one spot and killed us all. So I tried it Alt + F4, but it didn't seem to do anything. I'm assuming this will disconnect me faster than pressing escape and disconnect, and I'd like to know simply so I can escape from a hacker if I manage to do it fast enough. Is there something I'm missing?

Come for a mass shooting! jk But no seriously, some bandits are probably looking at your post and thinking "I need to stake out this place with a sniper rifle"

I liked your post simply because you put "gleefully riding a bike through a field" I can only imagine you riding through a field of flowers on a banana seat bicycle :P

If this were a real apocalypse, I don't see people acting any different. Killing other survivors and stealing all their stuff. At best they might hold someone at gun point, steal all their belongings, then let them go. Which in a sense is almost the same as condemning them to death.

I haven't killed anyone yet, but I've seen a couple survivors. I ignore the ones who don't have a weapon, but I keep an eye on them incase they draw one. I hide from the ones with weapons and if they get close I keep my weapon ready. When they pass by me, I leave.

Ah I see, sounds like I'm better off pressing escape and disconnecting anyways, if I can manage to do it fast enough after getting warped. The last time the entire server got warped, I saw a jeep nearby, managed to run to it while everyone else was confused and getting shot at. Got in the jeep, drove away, bullet fire all around me, felt like Indiana Jones. Almost escaped but one of them took me out with an RPG or something.

Hackers can change you into animals or so I've read. Why not zombies?

Maybe we should start screenshotting the player list after this happens

If that's the case, can I get a refund from steam?

My friend and I are on server 853 and the entire server is getting teleported. He's pretty sure it's the BangBros Cocklover and BangBros Coitus teleporting us and killing us all. Perfect for noobs like us to join a server like this My first gun, gone :( Oh and BangBrosMajorSchtz Missed that one.

I had no gun, and I was prone, so he'd shoot me before I could stand up or escape :P I was fucked either way

I'm the noob that gets shot not wanting to kill anyone :( I came across a guy with a sniper rifle. All I had was an arrow (and starting gear) no weapon yet. guy stared at me for a good minute. I sat there, no weapon in hand. Shot me anyways.

Perhaps I should have played the actual game first though. Still learning controls, can't seem to close doors but I can open them. (enter key? lol) I have a quick question though, I found an Axe in a treestump. Pressed enter on it several times, but never gave me the option to pick it up. Friend of mine said you could use axe's (or knives) so was I hitting the wrong key? I kept trying to pick it up until a zombie decided to show up and interrupt me (yay my first zombie) which then chased me veeeery far away (picked up several more zombies on the way) also found out zombies can swim too as I tried to swim across water to escape. Found a lighthouse, climbed it, then ended up going prone on top of hte light house (watching the zombie climb the mountain towards me, wondering if it knew how to climb a lighthouse to get me) fell through the ground of the light house by going prone, and died. Came back to see I had apparently respawned and sat there screaming in agony (lulz) and climbed back up the lighthouse. (I seem to be dying though, or something. Not really sure) So my main question is, is it just some axe's you can't pick up? Was I hitting a wrong button? Should I just play the actual game before messing with DayZ? :P Thanks guys ^^;; Also is it possible to type chat? D: If someone saves my life, I don't want to be the dick that just ignores him :C

Hmm, so I've spawned on the side of a house (instead of on the coast like usual?) and my character was constantly running full speed ahead.. Nothing I could do to stop him. So I had him crawl everywhere through the house. Found Binoculars. Found a knife. Found a ton of ammo (no gun). Found some coke/etc. Seems like I kinda hit the jackpot. However I can't equip the binoculars, or the knife. And I can't pick up this crowbar I found laying on the ground (I click Enter on it, then it asks if I want to take crowbar. I've tried hitting enter, left clicking, etc. nothing happens) I've tried right clicking on the knife then removing from toolbelt (I'm surrounded by Zombies, I'm scared!) but I have no option to do this. Don't want to lose all this gear though, so even though I didn't pick up the crowbar, I logged out. (couldn't close the doors in the room I was in...not much good that would do though since I found out zombies can open doors.) On that note, if you're running away from zombies, how do you escape them? I have no weapon to fight them with, so I just run and run and run. And swim. And shut doors. And climb mountains. Nothing works :( I've tried crouching to sneak by zombies, that doesn't work too well either. Sorry for all the questions!

Thanks guys, a friend of mine showed me the map, only downside is I can't figure out where I spawn at to find where to go :/

It would be cool to see someone stock pile all kinds of vehicles/ammo/guns and everything, just to see it all get blown away by a tornado

I'm guessing you have to find a map and compass somewhere? :P

I appreciate all the help, but I think I'll have to give up this morning :P Spent a couple hours trying to figure out how to get out of these mountains but they're endless x_x (running in a constant direction, occasionally moving left or right, but always going in a mostly straight direction, you'd think I'd find some way out...) and I gotta work today so I need to get some sleep :P Goodnight, thank you again for all your help! Middle Mouse button doesn't seem to do anything for me, or is that only when I see an item or something interactable? I found a cow in the middle of the mountains. Only thing alive (or dead) I've found up here. Couldn't seem to do anything with it though

Swinging doors/gates can hurt you? O.o I think I've been running through the mountains for about an hour x_x they don't end
