So you and sausagefinger don't want to be on the other end of this video, yet you're the actually players within day z who are condoning this sort of douchebaggery. Nice way to lead by example. If you actually want people to be more aware then start by giving them advice when the situation comes about, not "teaching them a lesson" by being a dick.

People like you changed my mentality from being friendly towards randoms to a straight up douchebag everytime I come across someone. I would have killed you the moment you mentioned "SVD Camo" because obviously you weren't a 'noob' at the game and you knew what the weapon was even though you were pretending to be a nice beginner. I feel bad for the guy who actually let you follow him around.
  3. Just submitted an application.
  4. I'm sure there are some decent players out there who have the same intentions I do, but thank you for your advice.
  5. just PMed the person who started the thread, thank you.
  6. I've been playing PC games for as long as I can remember, and as much I love playing solo and building my character/profile up all by myself.. it's somewhat impossible to get ahead in Day Z on your own. I recently bought the game and downloaded the mod about a week ago, and I have to admit the concept/idea of zombie survival simulator game really caught my eye. Of course not having any experience playing arma 2 and being very unfamiliar with the controls, I died in Chernarus within the first 5 minutes of gameplay. The suspense, scenery, and realism (for the most part) has made me pretty addicted to the game. I met a few friends, got killed a bunch of times out of no where, and traveled to the NW airfield on my own. I'm not going to complain about people KoSing, and whatever, but there are some pretty dicked up people that play Day Z. During one of my experiences after recently dying from a sniper in Electro, I spawned and decided to head to Cherno. I found a hatchet and a bunch of other things on the way and ran into another survivor who also had a hatchet. I ran towards him talking in-game asking if he wanted to team up and he continued to ignore me. We part ways but few moments later, he finds me looting in a warehouse and ask if I need help with anything. I tell him I had about 10 raw meats on me that need cooking but I didn't have matches. He said he could help me with that and told me to follow him. I, being now somewhat familiar with the game, decided to follow him because it looked like he was heading towards the closest forest. He kept saying "just follow me, i'll help you" and giving him the benefit of the doubt, I did. I continued to follow him until he stopped moving and 2 seconds after he did I stopped moving and died instantly from a headshot. I came to the conclusion that he lured me to his friend just to kill me. Ever since that moment I decided to just avoid random players altogether, but even trying to keep my distance and playing it safe, I just can't help but to get killed by other players without being hostile at all. I don't mind the idea of PVP, but when you're playing by yourself and you invested hours into searching for decent gear just so you can die from someone shortly after is really killing the mood to play this game. Needless to say, I'm just looking for a good group to play with. People who communicate via mumble, ventrilo, or teamspeak. Already familiar with the map/area/towns/buildings/directions/etc and just enjoy having a good time exploring and working as a team. Most of all, I'm looking to group up with mature players preferably above the age of 18 or better yet 20. Anyone who is interested in having an extra person tag along within their group, please let me know by replying back on the forums and/or adding me on steam larioza@gmail.com P.S. I just recently died (gearless) so please don't waste my time meeting up with you just so you can kill me for shits and giggles. I'm also located in california/west coast time but I'm pretty much on all the time and I have a very fast internet connection so I don't mind playing with out of country gamers.
