    Disruption has arrived.

Cal, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I wasn't on during the event but I'm going to get answers out of the guys who hosted it. By the looks of your comment, I'm not pleased to see what happened. If you want to come back, I will gladly compensate any damages. I wasn't in charge of the event. Update: Upon further review, it seems that the other Admins took it upon themselves to compete in the event. It's a general rule of thumb to not compete as an Admin. It usually kicks up dust in regards to fairness, I can understand that. They were unaware that they couldn't enjoy themselves as much as the players. They should know otherwise to not get involved and compete. This won't happen again and I appreciate your formal complaint in regards to what happened. Trust me, they won't get off lightly. Andrey, You missed the edit at the bottom of my post. This thread was otherwise dead, so I didn't bother changing much else on it. Nor have I changed the website. The server has been obviously more popular with more vehicles than it has without. Jumping around 2000 positions in less than two weeks (check the game tracker). Regards, Del
  2. I've had nothing but thunder dome users on my server for the last 3 days. Whenever the server peaks, it's usually ruined by them. I'm running BE and Gotcha, and hosting with DayZ.st. Is there anyway of preventing these types of hacks or injections into the server? I've heard of scripts to combat against it, but nothing else. I've had to password the server in the meanwhile, sadly. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. (inb4 welcome to dayz, etc).
  3. Been using ST for a week now, effectively capping 50 for the last 3 days. Slight performance drops, but not enough to effect in-game play. The price and server utilities are currently the best out. Major vouch and thanks for the service. My DayZ.st server below: (Currently 8 days in from purchase).

Cheers for the pointer. Although most of the guys playing currently haven't got a clue what is where. Placements have been and will be maintained by myself (not shared publicly). I've been busy setting it up, but the intention isn't to play in a squad without it being fair. Hell, the point of paying for a server and then pretending by using the database and other utilities is absolutely pointless. Even though it's impossible to believe with a very typical cynical standpoint on most servers and how they run. In regards to the public hive, I've tried it for a couple of days, to no avail. Since I'm hosting with ST, it's only shared among servers hosted by him. Your assumption is that because the server is squad based, with one of the admins part of it, that there's going to be an unfair advantage. It's not, I don't take pride in giving myself gear or using utilities to my advantage (or others for that matter). I pay for the server, the point is to fill it up. I didn't spend all my time getting it setup to ruin it for myself and others. I'd be wasting my own cash. I was inspired by one of the recent servers I've actively played on for months. The squad based community was strong there and it made for superb competition. I didn't see it faulting, aside a few qualms between teams, but that's natural with oppositions. I claimed the server yesterday in between switching hosts numerous times. With the IPs constantly changing, I just couldn't be bothered to sort it out before I went to bed. Thanks for the heads up though.

I'm sure, but I pulled up a recent post in regards to somebody sick of fully custom servers. Perhaps I need to re-phrase the sentence. Edit: Said post.

    - 24/7 Daytime, until further notice - BE enabled - Constant monitoring Cheers for having a look. If you have any questions, leave them below. EDIT: If you're viewing this thread, the server has changed it's values. We now follow suit with most of the other popular private hives; More vehicles and a custom load out. It seems this is what people genuinely want. With our first cap of 50/50 after 6 days of being launched. EDIT 2: To save on further confusion, I've removed the description. It's impossible to get through to some people.

    'KABAN' - blatant usage

Incident: post count It's the full story, hence the included 'tldr' if you didn't notice it. We were trying to determine if he was a hacker or not for a number of hours. During that situation he could have been well hidden without us realising or potentially hacking (turned out he was hacking). Towards the end we thought we tried our luck regardless. I'm just reporting a hacker that needs dealing with. Not advice. Cheers, Del

    'KABAN' - blatant usage

Server: FR 17 (Hosted by Justateam.ru) Time: Roughly between 4 and 8 am (BST) Incident: Me and my brother were meeting in Elektro, the server had the side channel (global chat) enabled and a player named 'KABAN' was almost describing my brother's position every two or so minutes. We thought he was within north woodline around Elektro, so I scouted it numerous times coming from Cherno. As soon as I got within 800m of my brother, this player called me out in global chat, much like my brother's positions. Judging by his positioning he could have been anywhere in the woodline or north Elektro in buildings. Now having scouted this woodline prior to meeting him, I thought, there's absolutely no way he could be hiding. Then we decided to test the theory of him using some kind or wallhack or invisibility, so we hid behind the largest mountain outside Elektro. Instantly we asked him if he could see us, his reply was "I can't see you because you're behind a mountain". However we didn't even mention the fact we were behind a mountain, so we checked and checked the area, to find nothing again. Now strangely enough the houses between the shop and the larger firestation to the north had zombies spawning and consistently walking around, for almost the guts of 3 hours. After hours of looking and random talk about him seeing us and what weapons we were using, we saw zombies running towards a non interactive house. Out popped a hatchet, through the wall and hit these zombies clean, everytime. This kept happening for 30 minutes, so the instant assumption was that it was him. We weren't under any fire because he 'promised' not to shoot us unless we saw him. However shortly after realising he was glitched inside this house we went up the east hill and just sat there watching him. Of course for this period he was calling out positions of up to 800m (having seen me head north to give a wide birth coming towards my brother to meet up). If he was sitting in this house, which has no clear windows, how is he seeing me or my brother? Under that assumption of him being a hacker, we also found out he had a thermal AS 50, I recall him saying 'AS 50 TWL' or something, again adding to the mystery of him hacking. Soon enough we were preoccupied/gave up trying to nail him (if we could) and all ended up dying with almost a 2 second interval between eachother. I luckily spawned back in Drakon, extremely close to where we were on the hill (almost 20 seconds after he killed us) to find our corpses gone. Now from where we were up the hill, which was about 600m from him 'stuck' in this house, it's unclear how he got to our corpses so quickly. Almost as soon as we got back he'd left the server completely. All these physically seen events just lead me to believe it was somebody hacking, also convincing my brother and a random guy we picked up to hunt him down. tldr; Player named 'KABAN' - sitting in a non interactive building - providing accurate positions of players up to 800m with no visible way of seeing us from his position - describing our weapons and when we had binox out - extremely precise kills and almost covered 600m in 20 seconds up a hill whilst supposedly being 'stuck' inside a non interactive building, before I found our bodies gone.
