So following on from another anti-cheat thread here where it was suggested an admin be allowed to set up a server & 'vet' people that wish to play on it, I was wondering: How many people would be willing to pay to play on a hacker-free server? Of course it would be impossible to 100% guarantee that the server would never be hacked, BUT the admin 'vetting' process would preclude a lot of script kiddies and I was thinking additionally the server could be made 'pay-to-play' (perhaps a small monthly fee). This would add a further deterrence to hackers who would very unlikely be willing to pay for a hack script AND a monthly fee, only to be ultimately banned. Now as it stands, I'm not even sure this arrangement would be allowed by BI under the current rules, but lets say they changed their policy and were to allow this - how many people here would be interested?

Just to clarify, I don't actually rent or admin any servers. I'm simply throwing the idea out there.

Great idea. :thumbsup: As an additional suggestion, you should consider a monthly charge to play. I personally would actually pay to play on a hacker-free server. Apart from the 'screening' process you mention, script kiddies are unlikely to pay for a script AND a server fee to play while knowing theres a very good chance they will be caught and banned. The only winners under this arrangement would be the genuine players & it would help cover the cost of your server. Hackers would be out in the cold.

Then I dunno. I had the same problem & decided to just use Skype.

Does it test ok in steam settings? Does it work ok with Skype? What about in Windows - does it test ok?

So another member on here just posted a great suggestion about reporting 'Dayz hacking' youtube videos as 'inappropriate' to YouTube and it appears the thread was deleted within minutes?? Would a mod here please shed some light on WHY this was done? As it stands, we are having no end of issues with fucking hackers in this game and a member of the forum posts a legitimate way to combat these fucktards and the thread is deleted??? WTF.

7 tents with pretty much every item in the game in them. Picked up a GPS, Ghillie (1 tent had 8 of them), Mk48, AS50, nades, rangefinder, bear traps, satchel charges. Had a cooked steak and a soda while I was there too :D

The way I understand it is Rocket is simply testing 'dogs' as a new inclusion in the game. if they dont 'work' for whatever reason he will remove them. Personally, I quite like the idea of a companion.

Tried throwing a couple through the rear door of the supermarket the other day but they ended up going too far, hit the wall in the main shopping area of the store, and bounced back in. I managed to duck behind some shelving before they went off.

What difference does your age make? Actually I think its good your banned now because perhaps by the time your 18 or so you have learned your lesson & will no longer be hacking. I had a friend playing Dayz last night who was fully geared with a mate knocking off scummy snipers in Cherno until a shitty hacker like you spawned in front of him (and despite him putting 30 bullets into the asshole) he turned round and killed him with 1 bullet. Do I feel any sympathy for you? Not a chance. Fuck off.

lol Actually I think you should stay banned. That way you can tell all your mates how you got banned from the greatest game currently known to man due to using low life scummy hax and maybe it might prevent even just one of them doing the same. That in itself would be much more beneficial to the community than unbanning you ever would be.
