    Hacker Stories

Some douche was flying a PBX over Elektro and bombing everyone so I baited him to me by telling him he has a small penis over sidechat (the truth hurts). He teleported me to him and I dropped my weapons started FRAPS and recorded all of the scripting that followed making sure to get his nametag in the video. Then I sent it to the server admin who got him globally banned on 3 successive different GUIDs and blocked his IP. Sucks for him.

    Do you even aim???

I had the occasion to visit the coastal cities of Elektro and Cherno recently. In both circumstances I have been set upon and cornered by a couple of gun-toting rogues who shot at me with a conspicuous indifference to my personal well-being. While under a barrage of bullets I casually turned towards my aggressors and swiftly dealt a succinct deathblow to each and every one of them from my revolver. The practice I've had headshotting zombies around Chernarus makes dominating these coastal dwelling casual bandits a trivial affair. So bandits, do you even aim? If not, you best not come at me with anything lesser then a 7.62mm.

It's OK To Not to Love PVP

PvP is fun. When I first started playing the game dehydration, starvation and zombies were the biggest threat to my life but not too long after that, when I had the rather simple mechanics figured out, the biggest threat became bandits. Now the bandits are the only real threat to me. I no longer get the same adrenaline rush from fighting zombies that I get from fighting bandits. Even if I take a Mk48 into town and draw the entire zombie population towards me I'm experienced enough to figure a way out of the situation when the time comes, which can be as ridiculously simple as standing inside a bush. As a hero I don't kill unless threatened or shot at, but I'll admit to putting myself into the position where I become a target to bandits just so I can enjoy a good fight with them. I don't love PvP but I occasionally turn to it when I feel the need for some excitement. I'm hoping that in the standalone the zombies are ruthless and brutal and scare the absolute fuck out of me.

M14 Sniper Rifle and Bear Traps

Looks like there is plenty room for another answer, so I will! :D M14 AIM: red dot, zero-zoom optics, shorter barrel, standard stock, no bipod DMR: crosshairs with milidots, large and adjustable zoom optics, longer barrel, adjustable stock, bipod By anyone's standards it would be hard to call the M14 AIM a sniper rifle, the DMR could understandably be called a sniper rifle by many people however - even if the military definition is that of 'Designated Marksman Rifle'. Wikipedia has good article about both the M14 and DMR as it happens. Bear traps have been more of a danger to myself then anyone else. I have set them in the past and not only did I observe several people run over the top of them but when I tried to move them they persisted, although not visible, and broke my legs. I've only ever seen them in barns and other players tents and I've never come across one that another player has set. They're essentially useless at this moment in my opinion.

    Do you even aim???

    ur 1 cheeky kunt m8.
  8. You sure you don't have a medical condition or something OP? I always see myself from outside even in real life. If you can't then maybe it's time to upgrade to a higher power, gnomesayin?
  9. In no particular order: 1. More stores with more items. Specifically more clothes and variety of weapons. Getting my hands on my favourite weapon is easy right now, if there were more weapons there would be less chance of finding your favourite weapon and you'd be forced to make do for longer. Same goes for clothing. 2. I want zombies to be the BIGGEST threat in the game. I want to be as scared as I was before I worked out that I could just run constantly, run through a building, enter a vehicle or step into a bush. I never want to feel totally safe running through a city. 3. Zombies of all ages, races and sexes. Chernarus is an equality-loving communist state afterall. Plus I'm tired of shooting that dude in the yellow-shirt.

    Guess The Location ! (Chernarus)

Nailed it on he first go, godammit. It's right between the Sobors and the big coastal cities which is a pretty popular journey. I've made it plenty times but never actually run into this bridge, until today. It's something I miss actually, exploring unfamiliar areas always puts me a little more on edge - in a good way.

    Guess The Location ! (Chernarus)

I had never seen this bridge before in all my time playing despite it being along one of the most well travelled routes..

    Hd cars and stuff? :O

Your PC is possibly too shitty to run such high textures, try turning them up in options if you haven't already.

    Crossbow vs M107

Well played OP. I think it's time I gave the crossbow another whirl.
  14. This has happened to me also OP, seems like it's a bug.
  15. I've taken Hetstaine's advice and now all I need is an axe, maybe a revolver and an ALICE pack full of Jack Daniels bottles. Who is laughing now you murdering scum? Both of us. We're both laughing. Pic related, it's us when. Sometimes I stick some fueltank parts in my backpack too just to get inside their heads. Psychological warfare muffuckas do you use it?

What the hell is going on with hackers?

There seems to have been a massive uptick in the last few days. Possibly a vulnerability in the latest community patch was found and has gone public meaning free scripts for all kids. Or maybe people are looking to burn their DayZ mod accounts in the run up to the standalone release. The number of teleports is too damn high.

    I did it again!

Ride of the Valkyries was found to be one of the most dangerous songs to listen to while driving and to be responsible for numerous car crashes. Something about it makes people drive faster. It must make you scroll too fast too.
  18. Thanks for pointing this exploit out. Have never seen this before. The same would be true of other vehicles also and this requires a fix.
  19. Get a vehicle Fill the vehicle with coastal dwelling casuals Drive north in promise of loot (telling them you're going to raid the NWAF usually works) Spot a heli crash Tell them to go check it out while you refuel at a barn Drive off leaving them lost, ill-equipped and petrified They have the best adventure of their DayZ lives
  20. The biggest loot piles for me are always the heli crashes and other players tents. The barracks and other military locations get all the hype when in reality they are fairly paltry in their servings. That said you are absolutely right, there is something alluring about sneaking around in the NWAF under the noses of other players and getting away with it. The investment and danger make for a good adrenaline ride.
  21. Verily I descended my bosom to the ground and aimeth'd mine musket to the heavens veraciously contorting my person in the process. From here ample thrusting rotation of the hips did indeed lead to much amusement and a merry time to be had by all. Quite.

    The SA release date.

All I want for Christmas is rocket to come down my chimney and stuff my stocking while wearing his red beret with aviators. That reads way gayer then I meant.
  24. I've never used the horizontal mildots but I suppose you could. When it comes to moving targets I basically work off of timing, it takes a little practice (which can be done in the editor) but the good news is the AS50 is probably the easiest to learn due to it's zeroing ability and very high velocity rounds. You have to have an idea of how long it takes the bullet to cover the distance to the target and where the target will be at that point. It's actually not so hard, if you've ever caught a ball someone has thrown to you you've done essentially the same thing. All it takes is a little practice. Mildots? They will give you a rough guide to work off of but due to the huge differences in distance and velocity there are no set rules to give to you, it's all in the timing.
