Let me explain by using a timely analogy - imagine gun crime is a big problem, and you want to reduce gun crime then why not give everybody access to guns and watch the gun crime disappear...wait no, shit. Why can't you people WAKE UP, all this rampant hacking is a false flag attack by the dev team on the DayZ community, there are no real hackers! The developers wrote code into the game starting with 1.7.2.4 which would simulate hackers killing people and spawning shit! One satchel charge cannot bring down a two story building people, the dev team has been blowing up random buildings with thermite! If you even look closely at the dust cloud from an explosion you can see a hologram of rocket's face peeking out of the smoke. This was an inside job perpetrated on the DayZ community in order to move to a standalone and steal $80 Trillion dollars of our money. I can't believe you just buy into what the dev team tells you without questioning. -
Gaming headsets, Surround sound?

I'm using the Plantronics GameCom 780 headset, one of the cheaper 'surround sound' headsets. It has Dolby 'virtualized surround sound' like most of these headsets meaning they only have one speaker for each ear and a processor attempts to alter the sound to trick your ear. I was skeptical and didn't expect anything great from it. I found that for me it's not really a great improvement over stereo. The virtualization didn't help at all straight out the box, if anything it was confusing because sounds were different at times but I couldn't innately identify direction any better then with stereo, with time I've become trained in how the processor distorts sounds given on where things are around me. Perhaps the more expensive ones are better, some people swear by them, but I think it's a highly personal thing. Having said that the speaker sound quality is good and the mic is most excellent on this headset. -

Apart from not being able to strafe through doorways and the dodgy physics with ATVs (do not cross railway lines when one of your wheels are orange..) I'm pretty happy with it. -

This reminded me of the 'justification' for torturing terrorists. -
Bloodbagging gives you 250 so you better have a lot of blood bags. Your humanity goes up by 150 every few minutes but shooting someone will usually take a few hundred humanity off. Therefore do not repeatedly shoot someone. You could probably manipulate it best by having a friend get struck by zombies and start bleeding, then you repeatedly bloodbag him without him bandaging up. Don't worry it will only take you around 800 blood bags.

I'm also really curious about what scripters get out of what they do. What is the payoff? I always think about that when a scripter kills me in game, I never get mad, I just wonder what is running through the scripters head that makes it worth their while. If there are any scripters on here willing to give an honest account of what your emotional experience is while scripting I'd be fascinated in hearing it. -
This map should make Chernarus more PvE friendly, I'm all for it ;).

So I updated completely so I could join my favourite server on the latest release, when the ARMA 2 Beta update finally arrived I found that the server was offline along with a bunch of my other favorited servers. It's half an hour later now and one of the servers is back up but it has rolled back to 1.7.2.5/96061, anybody else experiencing this and know what the reason is?

Thanks for the info. My main server just came back online updated and sure enough my vehicles are gone, not that it was necessarily scripters. My other favored servers have all reverted. -

It looks like perhaps this guy is trying to boost his SEO by getting people to search for LeakID. I sure did it and found lots of people saying that this guy is spamming content on MediaFire claiming he is acting as agent for the publishers. Not saying it's not legit, but I share your doubt. -
Servers Rolling Back from 1.7.2.6?

It's not that because the server was almost full before it went offline (unusual on a weekday night), all the 1.7.2.6 server I see up just now are highly populated too. There's lots of demand for 1.7.2.6 servers from players I think. Has anyone noted any significant drawbacks from the update? -

That's some interesting dissonance you've got there ;) I'm trying to work out a way to network with friendlies in order to ferry them up to Berezino from the south coast, any ideas? -
I had a guy the other day shoot me in the chest with his Makarov knocking me out, he could've easily taken a headshot but chose not too. Once I was unconscious he used drag body on me but just stood there, when I awoke I couldn't move or bandage myself. Took me 5 minutes before I bled out. I guess he got some kind of kick out of it.

I wanted people to go to Berezino and see what it's like for themselves, just to get the word out. Hopefully a few tens of people will see this and go check it out, which means you might get a few people on any given server actually visit Berezino. Bandits are more likely to stay down South where new spawns abound and it's like shooting fish in a barrel then to head all the way to Berezino in the hope of seeing a player. Once enough people get the picture then we can pick a server and organize things amongst ourselves in private. -
Watching 4 episodes of My Name is Earl and then presumably another 4 for the ride back...I'm not sure who came off worse in that scenario.

There's definitely trolling in this thread... ...Petrovka is a good place to find vehicles around though. Yes, it would be but who would store it there when it's not being used? I wouldn't say anything is safe in this game, but it is safer. I'm sure it will become a bigger target if friendlies move up there, worse then the spawn zones of Cherno and Elektro? No.
