Maybe you could blow it off the roof with some satchel charges. Something like this: Otherwise I think it'll need a server reset to fix it.

Yes. A virus scanner will probably not detect it since it's not trying to change anything on your computer it only wants to read your CD-key from the registry and then send that data out over the internet. If the software didn't include some kind redundancy feature that kept it on there and running so that it could harvest the next key that you buy also I would be highly surprised. I'd also be surprised of the software was only harvesting ArmA 2 keys, it's probably got a whole bunch of your other game keys too. Don't trust random bits of software on the internet.

Remington vs Makarov.Makarov wins!
puppetworx replied to IcyZ's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
UK 25 is running DayZ Antihax, Community Banlist and something else which enhances BattlEye (Battleye Extended Controls/iBattle?). I think it must be running some other things also but that's a good starting point. -

UK 25 is doing exactly this. It also drops your connection if any scripting attempts are detected. You mad brah? -
Deffinition of a nightmare
puppetworx replied to Michaelvoodoo25's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I have actually dreamt about DayZ after playing late into the night, weird I know. What if you woke up tomorrow and found that these last few months you've actually been in a coma, and that DayZ, Mountain Dew and autorun macros don't even exist in the real world? Now that's a nightmare. -
Ooohh, sounds like OP is in looove. :D I play this game almost entirely as a friendly because it's more challenging. Shoot-on-sight is for the weak and the scared, 95% of players do it according to a survey I just made up. Knowing who to trust and when to trust them is a far harder skill to master then clicking a mouse button. It adds a lot more variety and in my opinion is more entertaining too. That said, I would've killed him too. That's one shady muffucka.

The Double Barreled Shotgun exceeds my expectations.
puppetworx replied to Tabris07's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Correct, the Enfield alerts more zombies but the Double-Barrel sounds louder to players I believe, it also sounds far more impressive then it actually is. I've had numerous groups of people scatter shouting "WTF was that?" at each other over direct chat when I've snuck up on them and fired, It keeps me amused. -
Alt Tabbing Out= Death
puppetworx replied to lucid_wolf@hotmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Its happened to me twice too, both times I was in the middle of nowhere, wearing a Ghillie, on a low population server. Skiddies generally need to wait until you are motionless before they can hit you so it makes a decent amount of sense. -

I like the loudness of the Double-Barrel. I love hearing newbies whimper as I sneak up on them and fire over their head. -
That game looks good boy. Will give it a spin.

Yeah, or go into ArmA 2: OA, go to Scenarios and US Showcase you can try all the vehicles and weapons used by the US Army.

takin a shit in the standalone
puppetworx replied to Eazy-Makaveli's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
We should at least be involuntarily farting on the reg after eating so many beans. Maybe they should add combat nappies to the game also. -

DayZ Standalone Images? (Fake)
puppetworx replied to AllMightyKnox's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Thank God these aren't real. I had some doubt enter my mind thinking that rocket had let the artists run wild and ruin the visuals completely. Screw you OP. -

Dayz Keeps Freezing my computer
puppetworx replied to Shawdey's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Is your computer in kept in the freezer? There's no way that is right. Sometimes the temperature monitoring software screws up the calibration so I would try another program. The NVIDIA software is probably the best source. -
Dayz Keeps Freezing my computer
puppetworx replied to Shawdey's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Haha yeah I was worried. Is that the CPU temp, case temp or GPU temp though? Also was it taken under load (i.e. while having played for 20+ minutes) or when idle (not doing anything intensive)? -

I presume you can do it from within the NVIDIA software, I'm using AMD so it's their Catalyst software for me. You can get their latest drivers/software here http://www.nvidia.co...aspx?lang=en-uk If not then your graphics card probably came with some software from the manufacturer. But if it's factory overclocked then the thermal management should be fine. That's too hot. You need a better case or more fans in it. Edit: Celsius or Fahrenheit? -
Dayz Keeps Freezing my computer
puppetworx replied to Shawdey's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah, sounds like a temperature related thing. Use SpeedFan or CoreTemp and play the game for a half hour and check what your temperatures are at. Most recent CPUs will self-throttle if they overheat. It's more likely that your graphics card overheated and it caused your graphics driver to fail. This has actually happened to me a couple of times, but I had a 20% overclock on the card, I scaled it back to 15% and it works fine. If you have overclocked roll it back, update your NVIDIA drivers to the latest they may include a thermal throttling update and clean the dust from your PC as already suggested. -
Anyone who has been killed via HACK...im all wtf's?!?(rant)
puppetworx replied to Viaticus's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I've noticed that sometimes when a skiddie kills me my bones break and I don't lose any blood, but I still die (you need to be using the debug HUD to notice this now). If you were low on blood and had just lit a fire though... it means you were a sitting duck. It's quite possible that someone shot you in a limb, breaking it and causing enough blood loss to kill you, and you just didn't hear the shot before you died (the deafness is temporary and occurs during some injuries, but sometimes you won't hear a shot before you die, especially if it's from a sniper far away). -
Beans for being potentially the funniest thing I'll read all day.

DayZ Standalone Images? (Fake)
puppetworx replied to AllMightyKnox's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
They're all slightly different resolutions which is weird and makes me side with them being fake. I'm pretty sure devs are capable of resizing images proportionally. Edit: Unless they were cropped which the first one at least could be, derp. -

Neither TinEye or Google image results can find a match for any of these. Where did you even get them? -

This is pretty common in DayZ, I don't know how many times I've had other people tell me their heart is pounding out of their chest or they're shaking, it's all the adrenaline. I've had my heart pounding out of my chest while playing and have fired rashly wasting ammo and time, but I've not so much the hands spazzing out thing. I have definitely had my hands spazz out during other adrenaline junkie activities though. You can control this by the way Buddhist monks are experts at it, but it takes practice and awareness. Good skill to have.
