A friend and I recently looted a crashed heli and he had picked up a L85 with thermal and holy crap we realized how op it is. I mean if you had a thermal scope with a sniper buddy you could camp anywhere and counter snipe anyone. It seem to completely nullify any none solid cover from any distance which isn't even realistic. So in your experience, how OP is the thermal scope, and how do you beat a thermal scope/sniper combo?

Been playing this for a couple of weeks now, feel like it's impossible to not be a murderer. I mean I'm sure we all tried to make friends at some point when we first started and met other players along the coast, but then slowly began to understand what a cruel world it is and how often our good intentions reward us with a shot to the chest. I've seen a lot of posts with people saying how they play passive, how they aren't bandits or murderers. So can ANYONE provide a screen shot of a at least day 5 or higher character with little to no murders (Only if these murders are from getting shot at first) and with actual bandit kills (because not killing players is just ridiculous, means you're either hiding in the woods 24/7 or playing on empty servers) ?

so you're saying the 50.cals are so realistic that you could fire one standing up?

I don't buy this, your friend alt f4'd after being shot at. Stop lying, how can he have been shot at and be able to return fire with that little blood left, unless they shot him to like 8k blood then he just sat there without a bandage watching his blood drop until he goes unconcious. Your friend deserves to bleed out for being an alt f4 fgt. And why is everyone trying to help these guys that are abusing the alt f4 exploit? You guys really buying his story? Getting shot to the point where you'd gonna bleed to death but still isn't unconcious and able to return fire? wtf?

Keep repeating simulation vs game makes me laugh. This is a game, rocket can choose to make it a hard, cuthroat, unforgiving game but please don't call it a simulation. Unless in a real world setting a sniper never has to go to the bathroom, can hold a 50.cal standing up or barely crouched down and shooting it without blowing his shoulder out. Be able to carry a full set of military gear, heavy guns and equipment solo and be able to sprint for hours on end. Plenty more could be mentioned, some already have been by others, but OP's post is mainly against campers and snipers, and the game atm is very imbalanced when it comes to how powerful a geared sniper is as oppose to how vulnerable they actually are when it comes to the real world.

Hey buddy you wanna meet up and have me shoot you once or twice with a G17 or Makarov in the chest and see if you can hold fire an AK back at me accurately? realism?

Using it solo doesn't make it OP, it has the most amazing scouting/spotting properties that's beyond anything else in the game, combined with good communication and a sniper, seems pretty effing OP dude.
