You do realise that becoming a bandit you are only going to drive more people to banditry? I have nothing against bandits, you can play the game how you want to play it, I guess it's about integrity, about how much punishment you can stand and still be a good guy.

So you server hoped to get good gear? I really don't like people like you...

Humanity can be bugged by logging in or changing skins. If it looks like its reset to 0 any humanity you gain/lose should carry over to your actual Humanity value (with possible exception to the humanity you get just by playing the game, if your humanity is over 2,500).

Hi All, Hope this helps. Basically the way I've got my two characters setup is one boxed copy installed on my PC, and another copy on Steam. One registry entry has BAF & PMC associated with it the other doesn't. I can only play BAF and PMC with the original registry entry loaded. If I've loaded my second character I have to go back and install the original registry entry. So long as you're using "RegEdit.exe" you shouldn't be having any problems. From the sounds of it you might have more luck having two cars, one going up ahead and setting up a distance from where the bus is going to stop with a rifle to encourage people not to cause trouble. I'm playing on AU1 every now and then and am happy to help if you're looking for more members.

I must say those that snipe new game are cowards, I've had several players try to snipe me after spawning fresh with nothing but starting gear, the good news is that they were all horrible shots, a simple zig zag was enough enough to throw them off. I would never attack an unarmed player unless I told him to back off and he kept coming. I must say I find it hilarious how many "bandits" consider unarmed players a serious threat, surely you can't be *that* bad at dayz.

I'm having this issue too, also after meeting with a hacker (Was teleported to the top of Chenarus tower/hotel thing and was forced to dance - I couldn't control my character who was doing a dance-esk animation). I was looking forward to play without the weird graphic artefacts from the dead soldiers, but I can't play at all. :( Edit: No luck with updating any of the files. :( Edit 2: Okay, it was a problem with the latest update, fixed it now. Good luck to everyone who is genuinely stuck.

I can't stand players that call friendly and aren't. This video puts a smile on my face though.

I haven't lost all of my gear, but I've had 3 different logins where at first I lost my primary weapon (This happened on two logins) and the most recent time I lost my main weapon, ALICE pack, secondary weapon and all of my toolbelt (Map, Hunting Knife, Matches, etc) NOT HAPPY JAN!! >:(

Sure, I'll throw my dice in. I'm not going to say my age on a public forum, but it is a few years over 16. I do want to bandit properly, the only reason I haven't in the past is fear of killing one man and having his three mates appear out of no where, I have taken out several players, although admittedly most of the time it was one player at a time and it was because I didn't want to give them the chance to shoot me. In terms of tactics, I've been playing ArmA since it was called Operation Flashpoint, I've always loved hardcore shooters and have manoeuvred out of many sticky situations before. When I talk about my gear it's only recently that I've gotten some decent stuff (DMR, M4A1, M14 (M14 currently stashed at my camp), M1911, GPS, and most of the standard gear except for NVG's). As for availability, it's most nights Monday to Friday, 6pm onwards (WAST) and weekends all night (It's currently 3.15am and I'm still online checking out day z stuff) Anyway, if you're interested let me know, if you're not and you play on AU1 then be careful, and don't shoot at me if you can't take me down in one hit.

That's right, parts will spawn, but not the helicopters any more. :(

I kill them because odds are they're bandits. Every time I've seen someone in a Ghille suit they've opened up on me. (Most of the time I see them a second too late, or the only reason I see them is because of the light their rifle makes)

I had one about 10 minutes ago. I was crouch-running between Balota & Chernogorsk through the forest when I hear a rifle round go past my head. I go prone and place a tree between me and where the round came from, I drop most of my gear (except for my hatchet - I had only spawned 15 minutes before and had nothing but the starting gear + one bandage and painkillers) and slowly move around some other trees. 5 Minutes later I see a player raise from prone to crouch and tries to circle around me, I keep the tree between me and him and he runs off. I follow, trying to flank him to the right, and sure enough I see the same man lying prone, back to me, aiming at where he thought I'd pop out. I sneak up behind him, yell "Shoot at me you son-of-a-bit*h?!?" and murder him with a hatchet. Day Z seems to bring out the best in some and the worst in others, I have had a time where I player yelled at me to run while he held off zombies with a Makrov until he ran out of ammo and tried to hold them off with a crowbar, eventually dying. With me I am happy to help others, but the instant they start acting suspicious, or take a shot at me I will chase them down, kill them, and take all of their gear. If I can't carry it all I will hide it and run off with the best, which does disappoint me as I thought I was better than that. :/ It is an amazing game though, and have recommended it to all of my mates. :)

I'm having this problem too. Silly servers... It's Friday night and I want to play DayZ (nerd that I am). Guess I'll get some beer and keep hitting refresh until I can get into a game. Edit: Cool, only took 5 mins. Will need to get my beer later. ;)
