Need help with server configuration. I'm looking over commandline in the "server.armaprofile" and what I'm trying to find is the way to disable primary tags, while leaving secondary(scrollwheel) tags 'on'. I'm not sure what line controls scrollwheel tags. Is it "FriendlyTag=" or "EnemyTag=", or something else completely? Thanks for reading, Mark-

Question on PW protection. What if I motd on lobby for people to join TS to get a PW? This way I have knowledge on who enters the server. This is simply to control server hoppers, not to control who can and can't be in the server.

I want tags, just not on pass-over. We want it to were you must scroll the mouse wheel to see the name!

The ping is that way to force for region and keep frames rates high for players. There are hundreds of other servers to go on that don't force ping regulation. I understand that AUS is short on servers. You should establish a group that wants to chip in for a server and make it the best and most honored AUS server ever. And if you can't find an AUS host, get a loan and create that host and lease to everyone else!

As many items before this post, they are gone. It's happened to me about 5 or 6 times now. I just raise my shoulders, clinch my fist, and say to the ceiling; "damn you alpha" !

If servers don't force use of the newest beta, those in older versions will be able to use Global & Side chat/COMs.

My friends and I have been playing on this server for over a month. Made various camps, set up motor pools, had scout and recon parties always on the move. Between a little over a dozen of us had made ourselves a growing community. However, now anything Anti-Sardine Alliance seems to be off the browser listings. Is there anyone from Anti-Sardine Alliance that can give any clarity to what is happening with US33 and the other Anti-Sardine servers? Thanks a bunch!

My team and I had several Urals full of various weapons. After installing 1.7.1.4 all but the food and medical disappeared out of the Urals. It was a collection that took 9 people close to three weeks to get. We are talking close to 600 game hours. We didn't have every weapon, but I felt really comfortable about having several of most every weapon. Even had an SA50 stored with three mags! I know it's alpha, but losing all that hard work is very frustrating. So frustrating that two of the people who bought Arma2 on my advice will no longer play, even after explaining how alpha works, or does not work. Their frustration regarding the loss of the gear really hurt their desire to continue playing the game. The experience of these people can role over into bad advertisement. Which can decrease client investigations into new games, which equals low sales, regardless of the fixes and additions during development. I'm starting to feel that there needs to be an advisory warning on the game to help people understand the trails and tribulations of alpha/beta testing. I personally wont be logging in until weapons stop disappearing and zed don't agro you while laying down. My gear took me a long time to acquire and I'm not giving it to bugs!

So, I'm crying by saying that I really don't see how this update is great when zombies agro me some 50 yards away, through a barn, while I lay prone. While you first see two or three zed, as soon as you are agro'ed within seconds you have about a dozen zed on you and you have not fired a shot. As I started clear those zed with a silenced weapon, more zed started spawning within 30m. And were spawning agro. This wouldn't be a bad thing, if the zed didn't glitch strafe while coming at me. And how is it that the dead run faster than the living? George A. Romero never portrayed zed as having great speed and capability, it was always the horde that trap you in a shitty place, and that's where you died. You were not chased down by an athlete to have your brains eaten. In most all zombie movies, people die when they make a mistake, again, not because some zombies were track stars before they died. And in DayZ 1.7.1 all of the zed are reanimated Track & Field stars! Is this going to be a simulator? The ax broke the game. Should only deliver 70% damage to receiver actual hit points unless head shot. Thanks for your time Rocket, Old Man Mark -
Just do it around a Sunday at 4am with a notice a week in advance. Then shut down the authorization server for one hour, or better, and have a marketing campaign for that week to let communities know of the update. That way when the update comes, there will have been plenty of notice and you'll have full control over the process around all of the host. Really, this game is so good, people should have no problem dealing with downtime for updates... And if they do have a problem, we'll feed them to a horde!

I for one don't have a problem with clan servers, make a box with a password, then there will be no issues of needing slots. And if you can get $5 a month from your clan member(lulz), then that will pay for its provider! Though, if you make your own locked server, you might get listed by other servers to not be allowed in because of how the clan/group attained resource without problem.
