ok so i joined a regular difficulty server with around 10 people on it after just dying on a different server. i spawned in near cherno. first thing i noticed was that there were buses literally scattered everywhere, i mean, everywhere, like untouched, fixed buses, like in the shop, in the firestation, EVERYWHERE. and then i saw another player running around, and he got into a bus, and BOOM, bus exploded, player died. i was sure it was a hacker the second i saw the buses, and i knew not to get in them, and then i went to go loot the body, and he had some moderate equipment, not too fancy, and then i noticed another bus, but it was exploded already and i thought, had to be someone getting in the bus, and sure enough there was a body next to the bus, and he had some more gear, and then i thought, maybe i look through the city for exploded buses, and ill find more dead bodies with loot. and sure enough i did, until i found one body, and i was shaking by the time i look at his gun. it was a M4A3 ACOG GL. i was sure i was the luckiest person in the game by then. and he had almost 10 mags, and he had 5 explosive shells for the launcher and 5 smoke shells, also a revovler, and a horn? I got a message when i opened his body saying something about no image, it was for the horn since there was no horn image. so i took all his gear, and the horn, but i couldnt find the horn in my bags, yet scrolling with f allowed me to use it, scared to use it, thought it might explode also. But the gun really shocked me, so i went to the DayZ Wiki and there wasnt a page on this gun, and im starting to think it was a hacked gun cause no way someone found it in cherno cause the guy didnt even have an alice pack, just a regular spawn pack, so i knew he wasnt from the north, and now im confused if this is a hacked gun and if i can get perma banned from the whole game not just a server for having it, i dont know what to do with it, kinda scared at the moment, just aborted when i found out it wasnt on the wiki.

Joined a server that was hacked early before i joined. there was buses literally everywhere, like fixed, untouched buses, and i got in one, and it exploded, and i died. so i respawned next to cherno, and there was buses everywhere there too, sure enough i would hear explosions go off, and i would loot the dead bodies next to the buses, and then i found this one body that had a M4A3 ACOG GL, and an item called "horn." never seen this gun or heard of it, not on the wiki, nor is the horn. pretty sure it was a hacked gun. now i dont know what to do with it, and what are the consequences of picking it up. Im gonna drop the gun next time i log in, just want to say i didnt do anything wrong and i just want to know the facts about how hacked guns are handled consequence wise.

It's currently 4:18 am est time 7/20/2012. I just updated my sixupdater which is what i use to play dayz. and i downloaded both arma 2 and arma oa off steam. it was working fine until the most recent update to sixupdater. now when i click a server or quick match i get "Bad version, server rejection connection." Also, on the multiplayer screen for internet dayz servers it says i have 1.61 in red and requires 1.61 so i dont understand what i need to update. please someone reply. EDIT: 10:58 am est 7/20/10 What works for me is instead of using the six updated to connect to a certain server, i just click the launch button using sixupdater to launch the game and go to multiplayer and sort the servers by name. the servers with a yellow "?" or green circle will work. the red servers will not. works for me. just gotta wait for servers to update i heard typing "95168" to filter the servers will work but u one of my friends was started with a new characters so i dont wanna try that.
