Here are a few suggestions to make the game a little more realistic and keep people from hiding out in the woods until the end of time: Use limit on box of matches - Limit the use of a box of matches to 50 or 100. There's no such thing as a bottomless box of matches. Distillation of water in canteens filled from lakes/ponds - There could be fish shit, bugs, bacteria, etc. in that water. Use the canteen on a lit fireplace. Collection of rainwater - We should be able to fill canteens when it's raining by just holding them out in front of us. Durability on hatchets and hunting knives - The durability on hatchets and hunting knives would go down with every wood chop and animal gutting until the items are rendered useless and you have to find replacements. Break one leg at a time - If you break one leg, you move much slower and hobble around. If you break both, you're crawlin'. Gun degradation - If you've ever played Far Cry 2, you know what I mean. Pair this with a new tool (cleaning kit?) with a use limit to keep your guns in tip-top shape. This is just off the top of my head. I probably should have searched for posts with similar suggestions but, oh well. Feedback appreciated.

I tried flipping an ATV with a bus last night at the Berezino docks. It launched about 5 feet into the air and hovered, spinning around for a minute or so and then fell into the ocean.

Rocket has already commented on cannibalism in DayZ. It will never be implemented because it would force Australia and New Zealand to ban the game and Rocket will never alienate entire regions of players from the game because of one little feature.

No movement in Stary Sobor yet. Suddenly, a wild female sniper appears. Her name is "winnie". 2 shots from my M107 hit the dirt around her as she lay prone setting up an angle on the military tents. She disconnects. A nameless male player darts past where winnie had just been and prones in the treeline. I fire one shot, hit in the chest, disconnect, no kill. A few minutes later, winnie reappears and runs over a hill and out of sight. As I scan the horizon for her, two players next to a UAZ on the hill behind the military tents are packing up their gear. I fire two rounds at players "murder junkie" and "Trigga Happy". Murder junkie goes down, 1 kill. Trigga Happy jumps into the UAZ and begins driving off. I fire one shot into the side of the car, he gets away. After a while, I turn my sights towards Novy Sobor and low and behold there is winnie crouching behind a tree a ways north. I take the shot, winnie goes down, 2 kills. Some time passes and two players, one "Drakken" the other I can't remember, run up the field from the south, I open fire, 4 kills. After a while of waiting a player with a clan tag I can't remember runs down the middle of Stary with a hatchet. Bang. 5 kills. My friends are done sniping in Elektro so we decide to meet up in Kumyrna. We meet up and head back down towards Stary when suddenly, out in a field, my friend spots 5 survivors running to Stary. I open fire and miss every shot. My other friend notices a UAZ driving down the road, so I shift my focus and start shooting at it with my M4A1 SD. No telling if I hit it or not, Trigga Happy was driving it still. As the UAZ gets away, my friend that spotted the survivors jumps into a tree shrieking. The 5 survivors followed the UAZ and were now right on top of us. He lights them up with his L85 from the front, and I shoot from the back with my suppressed M4A1. I get 4 kills, gets 1, making my kills for the day a total of 9. Among the deceased are "Mike", "Osiris", "Scar" and two others who's names escape me. We get bored and head up to the NWAF as our third friend told us he spotted a UAZ heading west from Krasnostav after failing to run him over. As we approach the airfield, we spot a tall pillar of black smoke and begin to hear grenades exploding down towards the southwest barracks. I spot an A-10 jet fully repaired stuck in the side of the air traffic control tower and a crashed Huey at the south end of the tarmac. My friend who told us the UAZ was headed west went up into the firestation and spotted two survivors by two crashed UAZ's on the west side of the tarmac. He opens fire kills both. We rush over to where the two bodies are and find 5 more dead female survivors carrying G36C's and SVD Camo's along with Rangefinders, NVGs and lots of grenades. One of my friends decides he's going to fly the A-10, gets in, and blows it up into the air traffic control tower, collapsing the first section of the building. A while after we patched him back up, another A-10 spawns at the southeast end of the airfield. Having no prior flight training, I decide it's my turn, floor it down the runway, get about 200m off the ground until the plane begins to fall no matter how much I pull up. I eject and parachute as the A-10 crash lands and destroys a section of the stonewall at the north end of the airfield. I land safely, run into a bush, and abort. Time for bed.
